I hope they took away the ability to shoot sub-50 scores in tournaments. I want a more realistic golf experience.

is it me or is this game being really slow to download. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get 78% complete, then i canceled download

took me an 1 1/2 hours, the first half went real fast after that it died.

well i downloaded it because i wanted to see what IGN calls the best character models ever. im not impressed, waste of my time. the graphics really dont do anything for me and im very confused how this game can even tax the system. the crowd looks improved over last year, all the textures look improved, the trees actually sway in the wind unlike the stiff excuses in last year, and Tiger looks real enough but what else is there? Honestly i was expecting a bigger improvement with EA hyping their new UCAP technology and IGN's raving previews. At least it wasnt running at 15fps like the ps3's preview build

as far as gameplay goes, i couldnt tell you. the only golf game i found amusing was the first outlaw golf so many years ago. all i know is that i sucked at the demo.

well, i'll answer my own question iguess,....

it's pretty bitchin.... the graphics look much improved and the presentation looks way better, overall it just looks much more polished. Golfing is relatively the same with a few little tweaks.... but i dig it... much better than 06,...

i'll probably pick it up

I agree. It looks pretty good.
If you havent bought a Tiger game in a few years it may be worth the purchase.
Looks a bit better than 06 did.
My only question is why do they make the Left Button the Power Button?
(I think it was like this in '06 as well)
Can this be re-assigned to a different button?
It is way to hard to rapidly hit this button as you are swinging....

that's one of the cool things of 07,.... "A"button now works for power and spin,.... more like 05 back on the xbox s controller......(the black and white buttons back in those days)

Ya, I just checked it out. I was extrememly pissed off at Tiger Woods 06 and brought it back within the first 2 weeks of purchasing it. Using the A for spin on here is so much better. And also you dont have to hold the right stick to hit your ball higher or lower. You just set it how you want it, then go ahead and hit. Graphics look a little better to. I think I may actually go buy this one after claiming i'd never buy another Tiger woods game after last years p.o.s.

Bah! I was all excited for 07, but after playing the demo, I'm a bit disspointed. While it boils down to personal preference, I enjoyed 06 much more. I liked the shot shaper and the perfect put line and now they're gone. The graphics in 07 are barely an improvement... seems like they took away some shading to add some higher res textures. Music was better in 06 as well (Theivery Corp, fuck yes). I've read in a review that you can enable the older style controls for your year of preference, but I didn't see that in the demo.

Hopefully this will be the last year that Tiger Woods is made for the original xbox. Then we can get a game built from the ground up for the 360, instead of a juiced up port.
