yeah i know, changing the aspect doesnt change the texture size though, it actualy reshapes the display making a wider view of the lansdcape leaving everything the same... we arent talking about merely stretching the image. and yes i know how small the res was, i wasnt born yesterday. keep rollin em
Of course changing the aspect dosn't change the texture size. But, the game is being displayed in 720p so the comment about res making the game horrid is irrelevant. It is already displayed at that resolution. The trick to properly changing aspect ratio is to change the field of view. There is a difference between stretching and changing field of view. When changing field of view more textures are going to be seen on the horizontal. The size of those textures remains the same. You seem to understand this concept. I wish they would have taken the time to do it instead of doing a recompile, adding some multiplayer, and sticking on arcade.
Nobody here implied you were born yesterday but I was gaming long before Doom and it was revolutionary when it came out. In my opinion it has aged extremely well.
If this post seems strange it is probably because we posted at the same time and you didn't quote so I thought you were replying to me at first. This post is relevant anyway.
