shaky cam vid on Youtube, this is all i can view at work but i am still amazed. they were not lying at all that you cant tell the difference when real time kicks in. it wasnt until the battle menu popped up that i realized it was realtime

im sure with the better quality vids its more obvious but im still stunned

They are up on gamevideos.com, and sure the graphics are amazing but you can easily see when it's prerendered or not, and they surely need to fix all the loading on blue dragon. And imo blue dragon looks boring and a bit too much kiddie, i'm not really sure how they are gonna explain the abilitys they have but none of the four fighters in the gameplay demo did any fighting non mana/magic style wich is very boring that would mean no weapons and what is with the defeat monster music sounds exactly like the one in the ff games.

But atleast this is some steps towards some fun games that aren't in the ussual xbox corner. Will be nice to see what will become of this.

you have a good eyes cause the only thing that i can use to tell the difference is that the screen goes black for a second when it switches to gameplay (and I was watching same vid on gamevideos) . Anyways the game looks amazing. I hope MS uses some halo type marketing for this game...

lost odyssey looked amazing the whole open is full of fast paced action and fighting...untill the game play starts...then it slows to a crawl...and i lost intrest all together...
i dont understand where the fun factor is in turn based games , its nothing like the action you just saw 1 second ago in a cut scene...it just seems kind of bait and switch to me

Thats why I dislike this type of rpg, 2 scripted and slow and methodical for my tastes. I'll be getting this just for the graphics though, hopefully I can squeeze 20 minutes of gametime in b4 it puts me to sleep.

I'm freaking excited for both of these titles. As a fan of turn based games, the slower pace of the fight doesn't ruin anything for me. It's like a prettier and more violent version of chess. The Blue Dragon vids make me remind me of playing Chrono Trigger way back in the day... warm fuzzy reminiscing of happier times and more colorful/creative games

I can't wait for these games. I grew up on japanese turn based RPGs and think they're the funnest games with the best stories ever. Fable and Oblivion are the only western RPGs I've liked but they don't come close to the japanese games. I can't believe how many people don't like turn based games. Everyone who I know feels the same as me and loves them and can't stand all these western 3rd person action adventure wanna-be rpgs. The thing that makes a good rpg is the story. My wife watched me play all the way through final fantasy 10 and had just as much as I did just watching it for the story and stunning graphics. She can't stand to watch me play Oblivion.
