as for it being a rip-off of SSB... when a game like SSB essentially carves out a new genre for itself, every game in that genre looks like a rip off for a while.

You can look at that game and point out similarities from the game footage but take a look at Mortal Kombat... looking at just video footage there are just as many similarities between it and streetfighter... it doesn't mean that it's a rip-off just that it's the same genre and they have genre characteristics in common.

basically my point is... we wont be able to tell if it's a SSB rip-off until we play it, but we DO know it's in the same genre... A good example is Ooga Booga and Powerstone on the Dreamcast, two games in that same genre both pegged as rip-offs but both distinctly their own.

i have been keeping my eye on this one for a while now, it uses the unreal 3 engine which is impressive itself. they use precederal synthesis to great extent to get the game to fit under the 50mb limit.

It seems sort of like Gunstar Heroes in art design to me. I heard at one point that this game would also have stages for 4 player co-op. Does anyone know if this is true and when it will be released?

I posted about this game a while ago, but nobody seemed interested.

Anybody heard about a release date or time frame? Would rock if it came out soon.

And I agree about it being a whole new genre. Quite similar to GTA - Saint's Row; if I do say so myself. Definitely going to get this one.

yes, game engines are very scalable and with the use of precederal synthesis, space is not really an issue.

just one of the many examples, IMHO, why we will be fine this generation with DVD9
