2K has been the only thing that kept the game as more of a sim while EA has gone the route of NHL Hitz.  though I hear that 07 is gonna be better, they haven't been able to touch 2K for years.

I totally agree with you, but after playing both demos this is going to change fast.

NHL 07 with the skill stick is really awesome and the graphics and presentation look increadible, it finally looks like EA is making a sim game instead of a over the top score hit fest.

NHL 2k7 although it plays well, looks like complete crap graphic wise. And there are still some really annoying things they havent addressed it still plays almost exactly like last year.

For the first time in 5 years ill be buying a EA hockey game.

agree. i may end up getting a NHL EA title. I havn't bought any lately because lately they havn't been very good. Like the poster said above alot of them have been aracdy. The EA is very nice and the graphics are very very good with hardly any jaggies.

Just played them both.  I played 2k7 first.  The presentation is somewhat gripping with the intense music making me thing a battle is about to occur.  Although, it kind of sounded like I was playing a starwars game with that soundtrack.

The play was decent and the graphics were fair.

Then I played EA's NHL 2007.  It's a different mode, you play a shootout and I wonder how close the team play will look to that.  When the puck drops and you see that you're not watching a cutscene, but actually controlling the character, you'll smile.  It looks very "pretty"

Can't compare without being able to do team play, but EA has the upper hand in visuals.

HArd to compare, but heres hoping EA graphics look like that shootout.
I never liked @K sports because the camera is far which makes the graphics not noticeable, if you zoom in then its hard to play. the puck seems big and bounces... nothing like real hockey. The onyl thing i lied was online leagues, why did EA Sports EVER drop online leagues from its NHL series???? IT use to have it a few years back
