WOW I guess MS really is serious about winning europe this round.

They've always said that they KNOW they wont win Japan but their goal this Generation was to win in Europe... they showed some of that with the world wide launch at the same time... but exclusivity of the two biggest soccer franchises on the market... now THAT is a system seller.

umm, ign have stated this, which is a bit odd:

"UK, August 23, 2006 - Konami has sunk one in the back of the net with the news that the highly-anticipated next-gen debut of its Pro Evolution Soccer series will be on Xbox 360 - with no mention being made of a PS3 version. Meanwhile, current-gen iterations of the game will also hit PS2, PSP, DS and PC."

The OXM link also state 'nextgen exclusivity'.

as does TXB:
"The move to Xbox 360 comes as Konami confirms that Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will be released for the MS machine, PlayStation 2, PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable), PC-DVD and the first ever Nintendo DS in October. "

BUT (as above) Konami's website states PS2 winter 2007 release
http://www.konami.co...t.php?genreid=8

if it is not really complete exclusivity, what bullshit. not going to make fuck all difference if fanboys can just play it on their PS2s and we get some sort of nicer looking port.

What about Winning Eleven 10 for North America, any mention made of this?

I think it's more of a case being that there won't be any other versions out of these games for another year from when they stated that (a long time ago) so it was impossible for the games to be on PS3 anyway.

So yes. These games are exclusive but only by default.

not so, other sport games no matter how late they are will be released on the ps3 regardless of it being around now or not.

its an exclusive deal not a forced exclusive

Exclusivity might be good, but I'm pretty sure all my Playstation friends will be pretty content with PS3 just upscaling the graphics of current PES. New PES looked nice, but it still is one of the most primitive looking NG games and won't wow a lots of people to switch over. That's my take on the subject.

But I'm still looking forwards the next installation, current PES is in 4:3 aspect ratio, so widescreen support is very welcome. Hopefully they've added a bunch of nice animations there, they've always been the strong point of the game.
