So I just came across an old GOW article that I somehow missed a while ago and got to reading. Everything looks awesome except the quick reload thing 'if you time it right'.
That's the kind of thing that throws multiplayer off. I guess the best thing about Halo 2 was the fact that EVERYTHING was fair and equal right from the get go. Noobs will be noobs and, uh, pros will be pros all on their own. I'm not saying it's a bad idea for GOW's single player campaign, have fun with that, but it really shouldn't be incorporated into multiplayer. It's not the quick reload part that's so bad, it's the fact that 'your bullets get stronger'??? wtf That's got to be the worst multiplayer idea ever. I'd just keep reloading until I get it right in order to get super uber ultra bullets that kill a guy faster even if the other guy is getting better placement of shots(i.e. headshots).
Again, single player yes. Multiplayer no.
One other thing while I'm at it. Does anything piss you off more than when you get stuck with an elite in Halo 2? That there throws off the balance of game play. This article stated in multiplayer it'll be the humans vs. the, uh, baddies. I guess it'll work if they're the same size and have all the same proportions, but I doubt they will. And then there's the fact that they're white, easier to see in the dark...
I just hope they know what they're doing. I'd really like a good game to get away from halo 2 with. Does anyone know if GOW will have capture the flag and stuff like that similar to Halo 2?
