I know there has to be someone out there that is willing to pay for difficult achievements. Do you think I could auction off some of my skill on Ebay? There are some games that I can easily get some of the hardest achievements on, so someone might take me up on it. It would also help me make a little scratch on the side. Hey it is just an idea. People have paid for ghosts and Jesus shaped bread on Ebay in the past.

I think you'd have better luck trying to market your semen for someone who wants to create a super gamer!

I can guarantee that people would be willing to pay to have you do those things. I've seen posts on some other forums (like achieve360points and xbox360achievement) where people were offering as much as $100 to have people let them boost or sign in and earn something for them.

The real question is if you could get away with it without eBay or MS breathing down your neck.

Also you'd probably want to hide your identity because your likely to get flamed and attacked hardcore by pissed off gamers. laugh.gif

Great, just what we need, now people pay for the achievements?  I guess it's a good idea for you, because people would some people would pay for it, and I doubt MS or Ebay would have any problem see that it doesn't really affect anyone.

I used to love the whole achievement thing, but now it kind of sucks, because alot of people cheat to get them(I'll admit that I have before a couple times).  The whole idea has just fallen apart, in my opinion.  "Achievements" don't really feel like achievements anymore, so lately, I don't even bother.

I think that someone that is a grandmaster at DOA4 or SFII could pay there way through college. I haven't been able to cheat on achievements. Some guys have bugged me to get there Vs up on Robotron, saying they would get me 200 on Mutant Storm; but they lied. Haven't done the save exploit either, though I may buy a Datel to expand my HDD to my computer. Sometimes I feel I'd pay someone just to get DOA4 and Geometery Wars off of my mind, so I'm sure someone else has thought the same. If I follow through with this, is there any games you suggest I offer to complete for them?

I've heard that there is a secret question that is tied to your account that they won't know. If they try to steal it, you can then recover it with the screct question and then reset the passcode. Also on Ebay a winning bid is a legally binding deal.

I can see people paying for stuff in an MMO, but it just seems unreasonably pathetic to pay someone to get an achievement for you. It's like buying a trophy at a garage sale to put on your fireplace...

Also, there isn't really that much money to be made doing stuff in MMO's. The $ value for gold farming or power levelling in WoW works out to like $2-3/hr. Huge business in China, waste of time in America wink.gif

If you got yourself some equipment (like the Datel Transfer kit or XSATA) you could unlock a whole lot of stuff for people without even needing the skills yourself.

Some games I'm I'm sure a lot of people would pay for are stuff like PRR3, DOA4, or R*TT

Pretty much any game that is really hard to get achievements in. Online achievements are probably worth more as there usually arn't many "tricks" to getting them like there can be with offline stuff.

Also just letting people boost off of high level accounts would probably be woth some $$ too.

Overall though I'm sure you could find people to pay for even stupid simple stuff.

Yeah Twistedsymphony, that Datal XSATA would work well if selling say, 10000 gamerscore for $50. I've been looking for it for months but can't find it. I'm not planning on using it for exploiting saves though, I just keep running out of HDD on the 360. 20 gigs is just nothing compared to the size of the demos and videos. Sony should have learned from this and gave the PS3 at least 160.

Really? I saw a couple of them just sitting on the shelf for sale at a near by (read 30 miles away) EB Games just yesterday... I remember pointing it out to my GF in disblief that they'd even sell such a thing at a store like EB.

EDIT: heck it's even on their website http://www.ebgames.c...oduct_id=802467

I don't do web ording per say. 6 out 10 things seem to get lost in the mail when sent my way. I also don't have a credit card. In Kansas, the EB Games stores don't seem to carry it.
