that is exactly what I want.  A game just like GTA but with better grafix.  I can't wait to get home and DL the demo.

Cars handle great, breaking sucks though, they stop way to fast and bring you to a near hault when going around corners.

Framerates blow, screen tearing and the 15fps cutscenes ruin the game.

Aiming system is the best yet, and drive-bys are done RIGHT for once in this game(something GTA never did)

So, who'll be the first one to figure out how to get past the demo wall?

I jumped on top a car that was on the way to the other side. The car rammed me half-through the wall and I was left hanging up in two meters with my left leg on the other side. biggrin.gif

All in all, great graphics, great sandbox killing-your-time kind of fun. Hopefully the frame rate will be upped to the final version.

The framerate makes this game feel like they've overtaxed the 360.  I hope it's just a sign of early development on that part.

I like being able to make my character.  Lots of stuff looks pretty nice.

I'm sure they'll fix the frame rate.

i can assure you they have NOT overtaxed the 360, its called poorly optimized code.  and i still dont get how the cutscene framerate is so much worse then the game play frame rate... weird

So is it even worth downloading the Saints Row demo in the first place?

Awesome game.
The framerate issues will, I'm sure, be sorted out.  Such a high profile game?  They must be... they've got time.

The only other complaint I have is the damn digital face buttons.  The car either goes or brakes... you can't speed up to 10 mph and maintain it like in SO many other games with driving.  They should have analog buttons... or use the triggers for acceleration and braking!

Volition, despite the framerate issue, I had some fun with it.  I would download it.  Not like it costs money.

Its quite fun. And i LOVE the voice work done on the characters. Frame rates were a little dogdy...well have to wait and see about those. I think Volition might have a success in their hands.

Graphics, voice acting, and driving is all great.

The framerate and screen tearing on the other hand is not acceptable.  What is up with the 360 and screen tearing, anyway?
