Galaga - No Improvements
« on: July 26, 2006, 05:10:00 AM »

Just downloaded the Galaga demo.
Graphics haven't been updated, it appears as it does when you
play an emulator.
You are able to adjust the screen size, which is nice.

I thought for a minute that it was running through emulation,
but when I tried the 'bug' where you can control the ship in the demo,
it did not work.  My guess then is that this game isn't 100% authentic
to the arcade, and has been reprogrammed in some way.

Also, there is no 'multiplayer' support at all.  Just leaderboard access
with achievements (Dual Ship, Perfect bonus round, stage 10, 20, etc...)

Doesn't look like anything special to get unless you love Galaga and dont have
any other means to play it (like using PC emulation)

Doesn't arcade use a form of flash?

So I would assume that all games re-released on LIVE will be re-programmed. Since flash didn't exist back then.

just downloaded this...figuring it was a game my girlfriend and i could play....

what the hell is this...no 2 player mode like the arcade machine?

i dont like this galaga
i have to go back to the main menu in order for her to play...either that or share  1 controller but then she bitches cause i get all of the achievments!

there better be a patch coming for this...and goddamn it if pac-man doesnt offer 2 player too.

goddamnit  galaga on atari had 2 player!
