Best Live/local Multiplayer Shooter?
« on: June 27, 2006, 09:05:00 PM »

I just picked up oblivion off of ebay and am now looking for a great shooter. COD2, BF2, GRAW (any others???). Ove heard that online and multiplayer COD2 isnt great, and I don't know much about BF2's single player. The GRAW demo was hardish due to the map being extremely dark and hard to see.

Still, what is the best shooter for online?

It is? Alright. One of my friends said it was buggy as hell online (but then again he did sell it a few months ago)

Still limited to 8 people per match?

Also, can you have 2 people on live on the same xbox (split screen on live) on COD2?

Well I still find it to be great, addictive fun on Live. As in many hours a week fun. Single player isn't much chop, but multiplayer more than makes up for it.

The update fixed all the slowness and buggyness online.  Im glad I kept the game, its soooo much better now.  You can only have multiplayer on split screen gaming.  You cant have more than 1 when going online or playing system link.

I agree with BF2 also.  A little bit different than COD2 with the vehicles and such.  Lots of fun online but the in game chat doesnt work very well.  If you play with a friend just use private chat.

Both great games and are different enough from each other to keep going back to each of them.

As for GRAW, this game is pretty good and it looks great, but most of the time you'll end up with the most horrible spawn camping that I have ever seen online.  The bad thing is is that you keep spawning in the same places on team games and all the other team has to do is just sit in one spot and kill you.  Still, its pretty fun to play with friends.

Good luck on your choice.

Can you add bots in split screen COD2?
