Where Are All The Gamercards
« on: May 31, 2006, 04:00:00 PM »

Hi to All!

Unfortunately I have not been able to log in into this website as much as I wanted in the last few months, but now that I have I've noticed that our Gamercards are no longer showing. I use to enjoy seeing Gamercards in the profiles since it will give me a feel of who the person is. Although it sounds silly but it helped me judge some of my decisions when it came to weather or not to buy a game, or just be able to at least feel that what ever someone is writting is Legit based on their previous games played and their Gamerpoints. The most fun of all is to be able to join some of the players on this website online.

Anyways for those of you interested in posting your gamercards under your Profile Signature you can go to
http://www.glop.org/gamercard and enter your Gamercard. Once it converts your Gamercard pick the path that says "For Forum Signatures" and copy that into your Profile Signature on this website.

For those of you who maintain this website I'm not an employee or in any ways receiving royalties from promting the website above I'm only mentioning that particular website cause it's the only one that provides us with path to post into a Forum Signature. If for any reason there is a reason why the gamercards should no longer be posted in this website (eg. Copyright Infringements or any other Licensing Matters) I apologize has I have done a search on this website and found no related topic in regards to the lack of Gamercard Signatures.

Thanks,

However it may be as long as the Gamercard is either on the SIgnature or any other place of the Forum is fine as long as it shows is great!. Looking in other topics and there are hardly any GT's as there is now on this topic.

I know a few people who have 360s and don't have their gamertag showing...

some people don't want others in this forum to know their GT or see their stats... I can respect that.

though I think you'll see a lot more people with their GTs showing in the 360 forum then anywhere else  rolleyes.gif

I can see it now. Lol.

If X360 modding take off like the Xbox modding did, then M$ will be sweeping these forums and collecting our gamertags to ban us, lol.

For an xbox hacking community, this site has an amazingly high profile. When we start signing our sigs with our modded xbox 360 stats I can see M$ doing those 'extra checks' when we sign into live like with the original xbox.

I doubt it will ever happen, this site covers a lot more then modding with the intent of priacy... one of the most popular sections is case modding, we have product reviews, news, game chat (what you're viewing now)

Just look how big our 360 community was before the console was ever even hacked.

Besides there's nothing that proves the gamertag I'm showing is actually mine. For all they know I created this account to just get them to ban someone I had a bad gaming experience with.

In the past MS didn't even ban accounts they found being used right on modded consoles... they only banned the console allowing you to use your account elsewhere. This tells us that MS really doesn't care about console modding they just want to keep XBL clean.

I highly doubt you'll ever see them ban someone just because their gamer tag happened to show up in a forum with a hacking section.

I wasn't meaning banning for piracy, I was meaning for just having none stock bios in the first place.

I remember when people were getting banned and didn't know why, even after changing their eeprom over and over, which ofcourse turned out to be the flagging system.
All I'm saying is that with this site (and others) known for their 'creativity', and with the release of both xbox and xbox 360 DVD firmware hacks, that M$ will maybe pay more attention to what people are doing.

Surely instead of trawling (sp) through masses amount of XBL live data, they could just do those extra checks on suspected people from here, it would probably take up less resources too. and Result in more detections.

I know how big the x360 community was last E3, isn't that the time when you had to disable the site search engine (lol). All I'm saying is that M$ knows what we do here and could easily be the bitch and scan all our 360's when they are modded.

Oh yeah, something else OT, I can't upload a person photo or avatar, it says contact a member of staff. Do you know what is going on?

Thanks.

As twisted said I dont think they could just start banning people based on there posts in a forums

Twisted your GT is the same as your forum name as is with most people or there is some way to associate the two.

No they will ban you if you have a modded xbox/xbox360. All I'm saying is people here may be targets for extra checking on live, like a flagged gamertag with the xbox.

AFAIK they never have... only disabled the console from connecting to live. I've never heard of anyone actually getting banned because of it.
