Best Game(s) For The 360 Out Now Or Soon To Be Out

If you can get around the clunky perfect dark aiming feeling then its a pretty decent game. As for a future game, from what ive seen from the previews of Prey, the game is definatly on my list of games to get for sure love.gif

your a tough person to please if GRAW and PGR didnt perk your interest.   biggrin.gif

for a horror game, there are few games as scary as condemned.

quake, PDZ, and far cry all were recieved with mixed reactions, some liked/loved the games while others couldnt stand them.

for an adventure game, you can try out tomb raider.  its a quality game that brings the series back from the ashes.

FNR3 and DoA4 are some quality fighters.

there are plenty of demos to download and help you, and for what isnt there, rent it.

How about The Outfit?
Team Xbox
"Take all that you know about WWII shooter and throw that thinking out the window; The Outfit is about as fresh of a concept for a military game that has ever hit the console market. The closest thing even resembling The Outfit’s slant is Mercenaries for the original Xbox. Pandemic’s fun romp wasn’t WWII-based, and was much more on the “brainless” tip, but there are definitely some similarities in both title’s architectures.

Where The Outfit differs from the competition is with its heavy infusion of real-time strategy bits. The RTS feel of The Outfit makes sense too. Relic’s work with Warhammer and other RTS titles illustrates that this Canadian crew knows what’s up when it comes to thinking first before shooting, or even moving a single soldier on the field of battle.

In an attempt to “console-ize” the rather dry sounding real-time strategy phrasing, Relic coined the term “Destruction on Demand” to supersede it. Destruction on Demand sounds way cooler than anything that involves videogames and the word “strategy”, so plus one to Relic for getting the semantics to match the less aged console market."

I have not played it yet, still working on Oblivion (hard to do with Spring and early Summer around here-wish it would rain for 5 days straight.)

Might not be your thing but Oblivion was a great game. I know a lot of people deter from RPG's, but it's very action based, played from the FP perspective, great graphics. It was a ton of fun and most "I hate RPGs" people seemed to love it as well.

I have yet to meet someone who liked the outfit...

but I'd 2nd the vote for Oblivion as well as Condemned. I'm also looking forward to Prey (it's been in development almost as long as Duke Nukem Forever, easily the best looking game that runs on the Doom 3 engine and it has physics that make Half Life 2's look pathetic)

You might try PDZ, Quake 4 or FarCry... but as others have said, you'll either love them or hate them no real middle ground there. All of them (PDZ especially) require a good amount of time with the game before you can really make up your mind, first impressions alone will kill all three of those games.

Tomb Raider and Fight Night get lots of good review but they're both pretty short so maybe make them a rental.

If you're looking for other racing games you might want to try out Burnout and Full Auto. Burnout is liked by most, Full Auto you'll either love it or hate it.

i rented quake 4 when i first got my 360.. uninpressed.

i rented it again, with my monthly lackluster coupons soon to expire...

its a pretty fun game... not amazing, but better than xbox as far as graphics go.

i got blood, guts, some vehicles...  and a nail gun.... def. worth a rental.

fun stuff.. havent even touched online yet.

PDZ... eh... single player is fun on easy, just slaughtering people.. but it lacks that 360 next gen feel.

multi = fun with the super dragon. id have to say (as stated above) one of the love it or hate it titles...
check my BST... PDZ for condemned!

edit: thats a broken looking post... blame it on sam adams.
