And also if you look at both the images you can tell that the background has note moved at all they are exactly the same but just from a diffrent angle.

Those are fake, not only because of the Y button, but simply because they look like shit.  Halo2 had a ridiculously sweet menu.  Does anyone honestly believe that they would downgrade to crap like that?  It isn't even animated, or else there would be differences between the two shots.

Oh that and Bungie officially stated they were fakes.

You could very easily photo-chop an image, throw it on a memory stick and view it through your 360 (or any number of other devices connected to your HDTV) then just take a picture of your TV displaying the image

Pics look legit. I just played motogp demo from xbl and it looked like shit. I think every1 knows graphs at early development stage isn't the priority to do.

Oblivion in making of dvd looked like shit, look at it now.
That halo3 trailer doesn't look any good either, uninspiring and very so-so graphics.
Games usually get facelift near release, not right away or in demo stage.

Meaning... who knows... =)

for those of you doubting just becuase of the "Y" friends button... I know I have a game (or demo) now that you can press a button to open the friends section of your guide... so don't count it out... I'm going home tonight and going through all my demos and games to figure out which it is... unless someone else knows i'll post back later...

as for the screenies... I can't say if i believe them or not... I try not to build up a game in my head and then it's not what I expected... besides... with the release so far away why would they kill themselves making an awesome menu when they have more important things to test?? I'd want the absolute simplest menu in the world just to get to a game so i could test...

While I'll agree that more often than not, graphics get a bump by the time a game comes out.
I thought that at this stage, the graphics in Moto GP are very good.
At least the bikers and the bikes look photorealistic.
I had my family over this weekend and everyone thought they were watching a real bike race at the first glance.

I dunno, perhaps you're gaming on a regular TV or something

I believe Call of Duty 2 has a button like that.  So why not Halo 3?

im guessing this picture was taken with a digital camera... if the person behind the camera wanted to prove that this was real he would put the camera into video mode and take at least a 3-5 second video of the intro screen moving around (animated) so it would disprove the idea of it being a jpg displayed on the flatscreen tv its on... then some one taking a picture of a picture thats on a tv...

Well, honestly i donno. The "Y" button for freinds could easly be there as im sure Bungie will release H3 on the orginal Xbox, so maybe its a shot of what the Xbox, H3 menu should look like. But at the same time, wouldent the diffrent multiplayer modes be under "Multiplayer"? it was like that in the first two, so that leads me to belive it was a fake. But at the same time, whoever made the menu did an amazing job at it, so i honestly can say i donno.

The Halo 3 pictures are indeed fake,if you open up the pictures with notepad it clearly says it was made with Adobe Photoshop CS,it looks very good but its all fake.
