why are my xbox to xbox transfers 500k?

First off, on my friends xbox i need to have his xbox host or it won't work at all.  second, when it works it goes at 500k.  i am using xtoolbox on each xbox do the transferring.  he has a maxtor ata133 7200rpm hdd with a 8mb cache.  i have the same thing.  <

You be a problem with your settings, you might want to post them.  Otherwise I'd say try using the ava dash on both the xbox's.  <
