Coming out of class today I noticed a huge charter bus with mt. dew and xbox 360 all over it parked outside our student center here at the University of Missouri-Rolla. The have about 10-15 xbox 360's 5 or so xbox's and dozen or so computers all set up to play various titles.

Got my hands on some free MDX and started browsing

Top Spin 2 was the first stop because i thought it wasnt out yet (found out it is out). Well in the time it took to load a "quick match" I was done with my drink. Gameplay seemed fine, graphics decent, nothing wonderful, plenty of motion blur. The controls seem pretty basic, get in front of the ball and press combinations of x,y, or b. It dosent help that i really dont like tennis but I was fairly unimpressed with this title.

BF2:MC was next. I was really curious to see if the final build was any better then the MP demo out currently. Well started out in SP, Got into the first battle as you parachute out of a helicopter, graphics seemed the same as the demo, the physics were goofy as ever, shot someone in the chest with an assault rifle and they flew back about 10 yards and hit a car upside down. The AI seemed mildly retarded, but friendlies and foes. The enemy would send packs of 5 infantry at a time as you are guarding a corridor with two tanks and two 50cal posts, needless to say not much of a challenge. Before the level was over my own team killed me twice one by rocket and once by running me over.

EA looked fabulous on the 40" LCD they had setup with surround sound, they had a bell and everything set up as they were letting everyone challenge a "heavyweight" which at the time was just the stereotypical video game junkie. He was damn good and drew a pretty big crowd.


Other than that, there was PGR3, PD0, GRAW, Burnout Revenge, and halo3 (just kidding).
On Pc they had Swat4 running on an Alienware laptop, and about 10 pcs running that Official Army title but I think our ROTC partially sponsored that one. (no one was playing them)
I really didnt check out any xbox titles but im going back in a bit for a halo2 tourney, hopefully there will be prizes.

I didnt even know it was coming here, so it was a pleasent suprise. See it a university near you

Wow i won the halo2 tourney, last two minutes got sword and sniper and racked up 8 kills for the win.

EDIT: i just realized i need to proof read more often. In my first post its "both friendlies and foes" and the EA one was fightnight if you didnt get it from the rest of the explanation. O well.
