I used Hawian Dude's xbox namechanger off of xbins and tried to change my xbox's old name('Wheezy') to a new name('Suck my duhhhhh'). It never said "name has been changed" or whatever and the program wont connect to my xbox now. But i do have a new name. Penquin. Not what i typed, but a new name none the less. Any suggestions on how to get my xbox named 'Suck my duhhhhh'? <

It should have worked, are you sure that you were networked to your xbox right? or maybe the file was corrupt, you might try downloading it again and trying.

the namechanger probably deleted your name file, it did that to mine too (i think it was a diff program tho) <

Ok so i ftp'd my xbox again and i did have the nickname.xbn file. i opened it with notepad and it says " SMP e n g u i n". Now after this text theirs a whole bunch of spacing. Im guessing its good code that notepad wont display so im not messing with it. Now that i know it says " SMP e n g u i n" and my xbox's name is 'Penguin', can i just type in the name i want into notepad and replace the existing nickname.xbn file? <
