If I were him, I would access the Halo2 file in memory and delete the entire directory, in turn deleting his downloaded maps. Then I'd pop the game back in re-download everything.

I interpereted the intial post as corrupted maps. If that's not the case and it is indeed a network problem, then ignore my post.
