I don't even wast my time with last gen games anymore... just so... not worth it. Even the "crappy" 360 ports look miles better then Xbox 1 games (don't even bring up screen-shots, if you have the right AV equipment for direct comparison you'd see the differences), not to mention the live integration, and  the fact that with the exception of the Halos most BC games don't run very well.

even the Xbox 1 games I own that are on the BC list I don't play on the 360 because the compatibility is pretty poor...

very true.  it is very hard to even look at a xbox1 game anymore let alone play one.  the only BC game that i touched in the last few weeks was splinter cell CT, but that game is in a league of its own.  now after playing through GRAW and getting oblivion soon, its going to be that much harder to ever look back, so why bother.

The only Xbox1 game I ever play on my 360 is Halo2.  I never had live before I got my 360 (softmodded xbox) so it's a whole new experience for me.  Plus, all my buddies play constantly... so it's more for the social interaction.

Wow. Some Xbox game bashing going on here, you people must've really suffered while playing them. To me x360 games aren't yet leaps and bounds better than few quality Xbox games, so I still play the oldies. (and yes, I have a HDTV set).

You whined to MS for them to implement BC to x360 and now utilizing it is somehow a bad thing. . Surely, if you want to play boxing, snowboarding or Ghost Recon kind of game, you're much better off with the x360 versions, but there are so many genres that x360 is still missing that BC playing makes sense if you want more variety.

A few examples:

Splinter Cell CT - There's no spy-game substitute until the new SC comes out. Plus it looks ace in 720p.

Halo 2 - Still the king of online shooters

Super Monkey Ball - Again, a genre that's still missing from x360. Heaps of fun and looks good in HD.

GTA - Better than x360 freeroamers, which don't exist. Again, in 720p looks pretty much like the popular PC version and was never about gfx

Barbie Horse Adventures - Just kidding here..

I'd also include Forza, which still washes hands down PGR when it comes to game play, if it'd run with decent frame rate in BC, which it don't.

EDIT: metalhead beat me to it. well put, man.

If you think you will enjoy the game get it. That is the purpose of games, to bring enjoyment. Don't worry about the "eye candy" whores who "can't go back" to old games.
Exactly.

However, some of the guys have a good point about purchasing Xbox games to play on the 360. It wouldn't be such a big deal if MS didn't make a half-assed attempt with it. No matter how amazing they look, Xbox games play best on Xboxes not 360s.

I did love the Max Payne games, though, especially the way he talked (very funny). The thing I hated about both games (*small spoiler warning*) was the stupid "self-searching" you had to do in those dark and pointless mental rooms, especially in the second Payne because it was beyond repetitive at that point.

I see all these people saying they don't play "First Gen" games anymore (the last generation was not even close to the first generation btw.) I still fire up my NES and Genesis all the time. I was playing Jaguar just the other day. Good gameplay will always have more weight then graphics. A game can look incredible and be the most boring crap ever conceived. I wouldn't play it. I would rather play Cabal, Jackal, Streets of Rage 2, or Road Rash 2 over PDZ any day.

Max Payne is really a very good game. You should buy it just because you haven't played it. It is well worth having.
