Has anyone played these games , i havn't played a 2k whatever game since 02 and i've seen alot of good things about Live 06. If anyone has played them both , please help me out here , the rental store here never has Live in ( they have one copy) so i've never gotten to try it out. Thank you

i own 2k6. ive played the demo of live 06 and its ok. the whole playing while the game loads and on the menu is nice but i feel alot more free in 2k6. the sweat in both games have their ups and downs. live 06 sweat actually drip down but the 2k6 sweat looks way more human and it actually stains the jersey.

the jersey movement and freedom is way better in 2k6 and facial expressions are really good (Dwane wade actually LOOKS at the person he will pass it too and depending on the dunk like if he is dunking on some 1 he'll open his mouth and such. look at some pics

i havent really got to play live 06 alot but i told you some about 2k6


PS - live 06 doesnt have slam dunk contest and 3point contest anymore

thx , i think iam gonna go rent 2k6 and see how that is and if i like it , the prices on ebay are pretty good

The problem with live 06, is they took everything that made it "live" out of the game just to put real sweat in. 2k6 has everything you would expect 2k6 to have, and it looks and plays great. Live with the lack of superstar moves and all star weekend just falls short........

ive had both also and also got rid of live and kept nba2k6

i do like them both and wish i would of kept live but its to late now(only reason is this damn trade value is horrific i wont be trading anymore games i buy even if they suck, im not taking a 30-35 dollar hit anymore)

back on topic, i would suggest that it depends what you are looking for

to me live is a better overall game, game play wise.  its almost like a basketball sim, playing the computer on the hardest level is a bitch, you have to play like a real basketball team calling plays up and down the court in both offense and defense always finding the open man, never taking wild shots, you have to be very presice

nba2k6 is the same old fun game it always has been

i often found myself frustrated with live

both look wonderful (in HD) yet play very different

if your looking for a sim type game and some tough/rough games, get live

if your looking to have more fun, nba jam type run and gun, go with 2k6

on Live, they took out franchise mode, all star weekend, and superstar moves...

on 2k6, it's the exact port except ONLY the player models were enhanced to look next-gen, not the crowd, coaches, etc...

If you want your money's worth, get 2k6, but I plan to wait till next year when EA gets their shit together

ya i think iam just going to rent 2k6 and play it from there , or try to buy it cheap from ebay

i think nba live is just an all around bad game 2k6 has better graphics
