Disc Space Usage
« on: December 28, 2005, 07:57:00 AM »

currently i am having "debates" with some gems about the next gen.  its all in good fun and i have backed them in a corner with nothing much more to point out other then the media format being used.  my question is that can someone list some of the disk usage of the last gen so i can bring it up as reference?  i looked on the stupid forum search but that always gets me nowhere and i remember reading of how GTA:SA doesnt fill up an entire DVD-9 like reported.  actually there have been many good points made by members here and i can find any of them to be exact, so any help is great! thanks guys.

GTA San Andreas(PS2) was only on a DVD, not a DVD 9. Also, most PS2 games used more spce due to dummy files.

Then again, disc space usage has noting to do with anything. The Gamecube discs only hold what, 1.5GBs and that system has some great games.

I can't find the local topic (it's here though..), so here's a sub:

Newer game ISO sizes can be found at nforce.nl or some similar nefarious site.

well how big are HD movies?
and in all actuality...this is a HD game console...
the ps3 will be a HD movie player that plays games too...
like its been siad before look at game cube with almost half the space making great games most better than ps2 titles
