mean while in the US where the consoles do sell we dont have enough...hmmm

If MS got an exclusive deal with a publisher like Square-Enix, I guarantee they would win over Japan.

No, he means that Square-Enix games can only be made on Xbox 360. That jsut won't happen, though.

Japan has far more national pride than America.  It's simple.  America was the same way with cars before the 80's.  Then the gas crisis hit in '78 and all of a sudden, Japanese products are desireable.  Unfortunately, there is no gas crisis (or silicon crisis I guess) to sway the Japanese.  It's just not going to work and I think MS is stupid for trying.  Let's get a gaming market in Iraq started?

hey you know,... it was worth a shot.... i commend them for that,.... but now that it's doin so poorly i'm sure ms will ship some back here for all of you less fortunate,... so you at least have that to look forward to in ms's failure

That's not necessarily true though.  Supposedly there have been talks, and Square-Enix is deciding on whether or not to go with Sony or MS.  I think it depends on who is the highest bidder.  If MS is smart and is serious about being a success in Japan, they need to get Square-Enix exclusively at some point.  The Japanese are RPG nuts, and Xbox doesn't even really have any Japanese style RPGs.  Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are Japan's huge hits.  Those are bigger than Halo and GTA are here, over there.  It's practically a holiday when those games get released in Japan.

Damn, you beat me to it. Was just about to post that. I'm sure they took the pictures when ppl just happened to not be using the machines. I mean, you cant expect them to be on it ALL the time. Its like in an arcade, theres always the older game that ppl still want to play, like Area 51 or something.  smile.gif

i was just gonna post that. sony really can't affect what squenix does... if they want to jump ship they will... will they? i dont' think so i think they will just keep going in the direction theyre allready going more  multiplatform
