Before I start, let me say that I'm a film major; so I think creative from time to time. I also like videogames and have come up with an idea that is truly next gen. I call it "Serial Killer". Here's how it works. Your first goal is to roam the city looking for a victim. You then kill that character. Just as in real life you have to hide evidence and clean the area. You need to decide what to do with the body as well. Then the real fun begins. The cops get involved and use next gen AI to try and find the killer. They have access to everything you see the actual police use, like security cameras and DNA samples. You then get questioned by the cops. You have to use the mic to speak to them and maintain a clear voice pattern and when you lie you have to keep your lies straight. If they can't catch you in a weeks time, youre off to your next task. This is much harder, you have to commit a series of homicides and find a way to link them together (full moon, similar death circumstances). From here you have to go undetected for a certain amount of time in order to win. For achievements, you could have to hide bodies in specified areas or do things that tip off the police, like leave behind a sample of blood and get away with it after all. The game could be used by the police to solve real life crimes or get ideas from, but I think it seems too controversial to ever get the green light especially to the public.
