Dear Sir,
I am completely a noob. I have an xbox 360 slim with jtag and 320 gb hdd. I do not know how to use the forums. I have one question to ask how can i transfer downloaded games to internal hdd of xbox 360 using an external usb hdd. A noob friendly step by step guide would be appreciated. File manager and some games are already installed on my xbox by the salesman.
Regards
ZAILDAR

A jtagged slim?? Not very likely, maybe rgh?

Either RGH or Xkey would be your best bet.

Q: What are the Xbox Launch titles?
A: http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=465739

Q: Where are some good sources for news and review of Xbox360 games?
A:

Q: Where are some good sources for Strategy and Codes for Xbox 360 games?

GameWinners: http://www.gamewinne..._360/index.html
IGN Xbox360: http://xbox360.ign.com/

Q: Will I have to pay for a Live Arcade game again if I delete it?
A:No, Xbox Live keeps track of the things you've purchased and you should be able to simply download it again for free. (I havn't tested this so don't hold me accountable if you get charged a 2nd time, I'm just repeating what MS has claimed) I should also not that most of the content that comes pre-loaded on the Xbox Hard Drive is NOT availble through the marketplace. If you delete Hexic HD then it's gone for good.

Q: I got disconnected/accidentally hit cancel/did something stupid while I was downloading something, Will I have to start my download all over again?
A: NO, downloads should pickup right where where they left off if the connection is lost for whatever reason.

--=Backwards Compatibility=--

Q: What Xbox 1 games are Backwards Compatible with the Xbox 360?
A:
US Games: http://www.xbox.com/...tygameslist.htm
EU Games: http://www.xbox.com/...tygameslist.htm
JP Games: http://www.xbox.com/...tygameslist.htm

Q: Why are only select Games BC?
A: The Xbox 360 emulates and Xbox 1 using a software emulator, because of this each game must go through compatibility testing and have a special "profile" created for it. The Games on the above list are those that have profiles available. MS will be adding more and more profiles as time goes on.

Q: Is there any way I can find out how well the compatabile games actually work?
A: There is a site where you can vote on how well games on the BC list actually work: http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=501200

Q: How do I get profiles on to my Xbox?
A: If you have Xbox Live (Gold or Silver) the profile will download to your Xbox automatically. If you do not have Xbox Live you can download the profiles on the Xbox website and burn them to a disc, then load that disc into your Xbox 360 console. If you don't have Xbox Live OR a PC with a burner, then you can have MS ship you a disc with the BC profiles on it. Instructions for downloading/burning/ordering a disc can be found on the official Xbox website http://www.xbox.com/...mpatibility.htm

Q: Do I need the optional hard drive to store the BC profiles?
A: YES, you need the optional hard drive, You cannot use a memory card to store the profiles.

Q: Does the Xbox360 emulator do anything special to the games?
A: YES, The Xbox 360 can upscale games to Hi-Definition (720p), it also applies Full Screen Anti-Aliasing (4xMSAA).

Q: Can I still play Xbox 1 games on Xbox Live when they're being played on an Xbox 360?
A: YES

Q: Will I only play against other Xbox360 players or Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 players?
A: You will play against Xbox 1 AND Xbox 360 players on XBL.

Q: Can I still play Xbox 1 games through System Link (XBC or KAI) when they're being played on an Xbox 360?
A: YES

Q: Can I system link to Xbox 1 consoles with my Xbox 360 when playing Xbox 1 games?
A: YES

Q: Can I access the Xbox 360 Guide while playing Xbox 1 games?
A: No, unfortunately not.

Q: How do I transfer my save-games and Live content from my Xbox 1 to my Xbox360?
A: You can't. MS does not offer any way to transfer Xbox 1 game files to an Xbox 360. Xbox Live content should be freely available for you to simply download again through Xbox Live. As for Save games, you're out of luck, simply starting over again is the only option. This may change in the future but for now there is no method.

Q: I'm using a VGA cable and when I try to play games BC I get a message that says:
"This game does not support your current display setting"

A: VGA support for BC games is based on a profile to profile basis. Most Xbox 1 games will not play through a VGA video connection.

--=Multi Region=--
Q: Can I use a Japanese Console in the US? / Can I use a US console in Japan?
A: Yes you can USE it US and Japan have similar Video and Power standards, however some games are region locked meaning there are some games that you wont be able to play on a console from a different region.

Q: Can I use a European Console in Austrailia?
A: Yes you can USE it Europe and Austrial have similar Video and Power standards, however some games are region locked meaning there are some games that you wont be able to play on a console from a different region.

Q: Can I use a European Console in the US (or Japan)? / Can I use a US (or Japanese) console in Europe?
A: No you can't, Europe and Austrailia (PAL countries) use 220/240 Volt power and 50Hz power and video frequencies while the US and Japan (NTSC countries) use 110/120 Volt power and 60Hz power and video frequencies.

Q: What games are multi regional that I can play in a console from another region?

.. at this time.  Do not toss away your old xbox/memory cards/saves. Some scene devs are working feverishly to find a way to port over key saves to the 360. Some are closer than you'd think. For now though.. it is sorrect to say we can't migrate xbox (1) saves to xbox 360. Patience.

25 To Life came out a while ago and I heard the game is awesome. Do you know if they will be adding it to the backwards compatibility list?

your guess is as good as mine

typically we don't know what will be BC until it's already on the list.

oooo fast reply...never seen this before...in regards to 25 to life....what ive heard is that if the game is out on xbox 360...it wont be BC...for example, COD2....maybe in the distant future they might...but apperently M$ simply isnt making profiles for these games....this whole post is assuming its out on 360...which i dont know...but theres my 2 cents anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Has anyone tested a locked game (Jap/US) with the VGA cable on a PAL console? Might work as it's only RGB, no?

Technically you can use an Xbox Action Replay (or homebrew USB) to get the Xbox save files onto your computer. Then you can use the XSATA to connect to your harddrive and drag and drop Xbox saves into the BC UDATA folder.

Is there a list of games that can be played on kernel version 4532 without upgrading? If one exists, can we link it in this thread.

Thanks
