Use Cd Drive, Not Dvd
« on: September 09, 2004, 05:26:00 PM »

Can I use a cd-rom drive just like the dvd-rom drive in the tutuorials. I want to boot evox from my cd to format a new hard drive. I have an extra cd-rom drive, so instead of having to take the dvd drive out of my primary computer, I just want to use the cd-rom drive. I know it can read cd-r's so that's what I would burn it on. Will this work? Thanks.

Is this because of the way data is sent from the drive or is it a restriction in the bios?

Is there a list of the cd drives that work?

Never mind. I got my new hard drive installed and working now without a cd or dvd drive (not the original one either).
