It checks the current emulation files on the hard drive, and if the emulation file for the game isn't there, then it tries to connect to Xbox Live to see if there's a new emulation file for that game. If there isn't then it just says that the game is currently unsupported.

I bet you anything M$ is being very careful on what they are doing regarding the backwards compadibility...

There would be huge security holes in the emulator that would alow you to play copyed "xbox" games without any kind of authentication check, cuz its all software...

I also bet if had access to an xbox360 dev kit i could make the xbox 360 play original xbox copys no prob.

Played some Halo 2 Coop on the 360 with my son. Some audio bugs. Some of the bullett ricochets sounded like static and audio blanked all together for almost 3 seconds. No it isn't my setup.

hey man, dont rib on Pirates! I remember pirates being the bomb on my commodore 64.. in fact, anything sid mier was, Silent Scope, F117 Stealth?...hehehe
