I'd have to agree with Condemned being my #1 release title
The game is scary as hell, especially in my dark theater room with the surround sound cranked... Beating Vagrants with Fire Axes never gets old and is always a crowd pleaser. I would have liked it to have a little more problem solving but I wasn't expecting it to be nearly as scary as it is. If you're looking for an FPS... this isn't an FPS. It's a thriller/horror game. The control mechanism is similar to that of an FPS but that's were the similarities end. The game plays out like you're really there, and I can only honestly play it for short time spans as my hair is on end the entire friggin time.

PGR3 is my #2 title
I've been a huge fan since MSR on the Dreamcast, PGR was one of the reasons I bought the Xbox 1 and PGR3 is one of the reasons I bought the Xbox 360. The Graphics are amazing, if you rent or borrow the game just go to the in-car view and move around the right thumb stick... I crashed all over the place the first few hours I played because I was distracted by all the pretty graphics. Custom soundtracks available and the included soundtrack is great to begin with. The game doesn't mess around, the fact that there are hundreds of cars and the slowest car in the game is a Ferrari Testarosa says a lot. The Connectivity to Live is just AMAZING, after ever race in the Solo career (even with just a Silver Account) you're ranked against all the other players. When you're in the menu text scrolls across the bottom telling you when people ranked up and on what track. Not to mention the usual 360 Live connectivity features. You just feel like a part of the larger community. The only problem I have with the game is there are more jaggies in this game then any of the others, but only really when you look at the cars up close, or the interior of the car from the cockpit view, so it's forgivable. The other disappointment is you can only do up to 2 player split screen on a single console. I would have liked 4 player (with HD graphics and a Projector 4 way slits should be more comfortable then ever) I suppose they can only crank out so much in terms of graphics. The icing on the cake with this game though, is the fact that it comes with Geometry Wars and Geometry Wars 2: Retro Evolved. I've probably played GWRE about as much as actual racing in PGR  

I also bought PD0... I only played the first couple of levels and I liked what I played but I'll hold my comments until I've played more

I've played COD2, King Kong, and Madden 06 at a friends house.

COD2 is fantastic if you're looking for a good FPS, the graphics are top notch and it provides an amazing sense of immersion, I'm not really into WWII games but everyone I know who is loves it so it must be good.

King Kong is cool too, I'm not too big on Movie based games, but the ability to play as Kong is really cool and again the graphics are just astounding.

Madden I would avoid like the plague, The Graphics are great and it's got the same gameplay as the Xbox version but the 360 has some MAJOR ISSUES apparently EA screwed up the Roster and there's actually been a recall on the game from stores. Players are on the wrong teams and the character models are applied to the wrong players etc. My friend noticed as soon as he loaded it up and Paton Manning was black. I'm not sure if they've released the fixed discs yet or if there's a Live patch available (my friend has Live but after a few days it was still screwed up).  Until the issue is resolved I'd avoid it.

i have to agree that condemned is one of my top launch titles.  its beautiful and i understand completely about only being able to play it for short times because its much scarier then i thought i would be.  just last night i was walking through a shopping mall store (i think atleast) and all of a sudden i hear a wisper that sounded right next to me saying "your going to die" in a wicked voice, that alone made me jump and nearly wet myself.  the mood and tempo this game puts you in is second to none.  i wish they wouldnt hold your hand so much with the whole SCI examination thing but ill live with it.  im only on the 3rd level i believe and already i could have so much to say about the game scaring the crap out of me but i dont want to ruin it for anyone else.  

CoD2 is also a great FPS even for those who are sick of WWII shooters (like me).  already i have done so many things and witnessed so many scenes just not possible on any other console.  nothing much to say that wasnt already said: beautiful, intense, and challenging.  play it on a harder difficulty to get a good war experience.

Yeah the loading times are on the SHORT list of things I am disappointed with about the console. It wouldn't be so bad if when you re-started a race it just started over instead of loading again    most of the other games I've played are no different.

hey all, i was at that zero hour thingee ma jiggee so i played nearly all of the launch titles albeit a few that just didnt interest me.... but it was hard to get into the real story driven games like gun and condemned there,.... so i didnt play them much... but here goes......

like many others, pgr3 is darn near the top of my list right now.... it's just damn ass bitchin.... there is enough other ppl sayin all the great things about it, so i wont go in deep, but, you should buy it ifyou havent already (and if you like racing games,.... bc it is pure racing, no lame story or anything, you just race.... perfect)

i got pdz, i havent played much, but i like the vibe i'm gettin, played through the original on the 64 and loved it,.... so once i break my addiction to pgr i'll give it so more time and energy.... the aiming is a bit tweaky, but im thinkin i'll get used to it, hopefully.....

kameo: only played a little bit (damn you pgr)... but it seems fun as hell.... i've heard its short, but can't vouch for that,.... so far it's seems really fun

tony hawk (not many talkin bout this one) - i love it,..... not saying its the greatest or prettiest 360 games,... bc it is niether, but i love it, im a huge fan of the tony hawk series and i love the LA leveldesign,  so i love the game,... but like has been said, if you got it for the OGBox, then dont worry bout it,... but if you dont have it yet, dont let the naysayers bring you down,... tony hawk always rocks. bottom line

quake4: seemed fun, played a bit and watched a bit it seems like it could turn into a good game, for one reason or another i had a really hard time setting up a live deathmatch at the zero event,... hopefully something was just messed up with the box i was on or something, bc those deathmatches seem really fun....

cod2: like everyone has been saying this game is great.... i havent played a second of the single player campaign, but i hear very good about it,.... at the event this was the booth that was NEVER open,.... me and my friends finally got a position at some of the cod booths and held them for damn near half of the day, just playing live deathmatch.... jesus it was fun....

tiger seems good,.... seems a bit harder than before, which is good, the graphics look pretty bitchin, but didnt get too deep into it....

nfsmw was fun.... if youlike the nfs series then this seems to be right up your alley, doesnt seem to expand, but who needs to expand when you got HD? right?

i'm probably forgetting some, but thats ok, because this post is long enogh
