Games Ive played..

Call of Duty 2
Condemned
Quake 4/2

I played CoD 2 the most but in the end I'd have to say they all kick ass.

There is no game like Condemned, thats for sure  

CoD 2 gets the nod, but only slightly. The other 2 are great. If I had to pick a 2nd place, it would be Condemned, but that would be a tough one to make Q4 3rd place. Very impressed with these launch titles overall, very impressed.

Roll Call..

Quake4.. looks great.. plays great. Won't impress those with previous Q4 experience on the PC.. but short of that. slick.

Call of Duty 2.. there is a reason this one is the kiosk game. It's sweet. Draw distance and physics are great.. even the "acting" audio is nice. Only sore spot is the lack of party system on live.. but that will be fixed.

PGR3 and NFS.. both nice. I'm starting to favour NFS though.

Kameo.. yah.. I bought it. Didn't really want to.. but wanted to try seomthing other than fps and driving.  I doubt I'll ever play this one out. Good for younger family members I think.

PDZero.. yah.. I like the online play.. but I'm disappointed overall.

I'm considering a sports titles.. likely madden.

Recommended: Call of Duty 2
Beautiful graffics, great single player game.  Only draw back is the small number of people in each live game.  Only 8?  C'mon peeps.  The 360 can handle more than 8 people in a deathmatch.

Not Recommended: Perfect Dark Zero
I thought this game was going to be awesome.  It looks good, but the gameplay is subpar for a shooter.  The controls are very slow even on maximum sensitivity.  As a platformer it's ok.  But don't expect this to come anywhere near Halo 2.  And what's up with that Samsung logo in the top right corner?

Quake 4:
Again, beautiful graffics, but the game play is a bit off.  I sometimes get the feeling that my bullets aren't doing anything but pissing off those monsters.  It's hard to find a good port from PC.  They did a fair job, but the PC version is better.

I picked up PDZ, PGR3, COD2

Have to give COD2 the top award.  Very nice graphics, great online play, I also wish for more than 8, I am disappointed in the physics in the game.  I like to be able to blowup some cover like in Halo2, should have taken the time to do that in COD2.  But other than that, great graphics, and nice game.

PDZ - Have not had time to play it very much at all, (still have not fried the Mainframe Core).  

PGR3 - Have only played split screen, but again I am a little disappointed in the physics.  You would think hitting a wall at 120 mph would cause some damage to the car!

My thoughts:

NFS:MW - I like this game more than PGR3 just for the fact that it's action based.  It's not brain challenging, but it's the only racer I see that piques my interest.

Live Arcade - Honestly, this is the real reason I bought the system.  Billiards and Hexic are amazing.  I look forward to the other homebrews out there.  Best "game" yet.

PD Zero - ONLY for multiplayer online.  The single player isn't that fun, but the online multiplayer and the maps are pretty cool.  I think it may be more balanced than Halo.

COD2 - Eh.  It's a WW2 game.  Pretty, great physics, and great action.  But the story bores me.  Haven't played it that much anyway.  Maybe if it wasn't WW2 I'd care more.  

Kameo - Fun for a weekend.  Game's pretty, but not deep.  Final boss took me 2.5 hours to beat.  It's simply an action platformer with easy puzzles.  Nothing more.

 COD2 - Absolutely love this game (minus the lack of lobby but I hope HSDEMONZ is right and they add one).  The Graphics and auido in this game are outstanding... My dad was complaining he had lived though 1 war he didn't wanna hear another.... the gameplay is awesome and I have never been a big fan of WWII shooters (until now).  Constant action keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire game.  And other than the previous mentioned complaint the saving problem with the missions that starts you back at trainning I would prefer this game to anyone who owns a 360.
 
 NFSMW - This game took it back... I know most people who have it for the original xbox may not consider this a good purchase but I held off from buying games that were coming on launch for the 360.  Graphically I think the game looks outstanding... better than the always wet streets in the previous versions... I like how they incorporated the Police chases back into the game... Always loved this in the older versions but it still has that underground feel with the ability to add-on parts and accessories.  The games sound is great especially on 5.1... again this is a game I would recommend to those who own a 360 (unless you don't think it's a valid purchase because you own the xbox version)
 
 Madden 06 - Great game... the visuals are amazing and the sound really puts you in the stadium... yes they stripped the game down but I like the fact that it's just a great football game now... I could careless how much hotdogs sell for... wish they would have put the coach's challenge in though..
 
 PD0 - This game is a different one... at first I didn't really like it but once I started playing online I love it.  The graphics aren't what I would have expected for a 360 game but I believe it's made up in the gameplay... soundtrack kind grows on you too... The different gametypes keep the online play intresting.. I like how they took "Dawn of the Dead" type custom game that soo many people played on Halo 2 and made it a gametype.... good going there...
 
 Quake 4 - I really wasn't going to get this and now I'm glad I did... the same fast paced multiplayer is there you expect from a quake game and the campaign is non-stop action... no real time for rest...
 
 Overall I don't regret any of the purchases I've made for my 360.... I do however want to play condemmend.... looks like a game that could suck me in... although with the system and the games I've purchased it may be a rent and hope it's a christmas present from a beloved family member

Sup fellas ...the 360 is a great system i looked through some post and i got paranoid that mine could also be defective and thank god its fine and it happens with almost every product .before talking about the games ive played i  have to say that im very impressed with the hardware WOW i dont even have to get up to turn on and off the consul and the dash is the best ever i dont ever see myself playing the original xbox.

I got 3 games at launch.

PGR3 .....Simply great but when forza and or toca come out it will destroy this games.im impressed overall.

PDO .....I was very disapointed that i couldnt return it after opening it and they offered me 30$ at gamestop and i said no...but hey there is a twist after about 1 hour online i started liking it even though i really thought this game was a halo killer i was wrong...and this game says RUSH all over they could have done a better job...Im glad this wasnt the only game i got because it doesnt do the 360 justice.

Fifa 2006.... looks great and is very fun and competetive...the players facial features look really realistic in hd.

Perfect Dark: Zero
I LOVE this game, the graphics are good, not perfect, but still, I love this game. I have noticed one short instance of slow down. However, the action really makes up for the small shortcomings.

Call of Duty 2
I haven't played much of this game yet. From what I have played, the game is amazing. Graphics, gameplay, playing on Live, everything is more than what I expected. Great Game.

PGR3
Graphics are the best I've ever seen in a racing game. BEAUTIFUL graphics, no slowdown at all. Whatsoever. Great cars, great tracks. Just all out perfection. Best racing game since Need for Speed 2 and Need for Speed: High Stakes (in my opinion, as you can tell, I loved those games). Racing a McLaren F1LM and a CLK-GTR side by side across the Brooklyn Bridge is breathtaking. It has a really cool arcade feel to the game, but still a bit of simulation.

King Kong
I only played a demo of this game, but its definetly the next game I'm going to get. Graphics are so good they make me wanna cry. Kicking the crap outta a T-Rex with Kong is just so friggin kewl.


My favorite all around game so far is PD:Z, closely followed by PGR3. Its a good sign if I haven't played a game that I love.

Sweet...glad to help.  That's what the point of the thread was.  Now I'm really thinking about adding Condemned to my X-mas wishlist...maybe the wife will get it for me.  I'll have to look into it some more.  Keep posting guys...all of this is a big help.

Honestly, I liked them all.

King Kong:  My favorite from the launch line up.  The graphics are awesome.  It is a basic shooter, but is supremely well done.  Its like watching a movie.  Turn up the surround sound, the house will shake, even my wife who hates video games thought that it was awesome.  The last 10-15 minutes of the game are some of the best gaming I've had in years.  The drawback is that it is short (beat it on Sunday after launch), and gives away the movie.  King Kong dies?  j/k

NFSMW:  Fun racer that is not so realistic that it is too hard.  The graphics nice and the game play is fun, especially online.  Getting chased by the fuz is cool.

PD0:  Reminds me of Goldeneye for good reason.  Is fun, but arcadey.  Online multiplayer is awesome.  So much fun.  I will be wasting many days on that.

Madden 06:  I'm a football guy, and I do want to set the prices of hot dogs.  I miss that stuff.  Gameplay is a little arcadey, but still the same Madden that we love, and its the only player in the game right now.  I was most dissappointed in this game.    My advice:  Keep your old xbox version until next year when they tweak it.  It will be great in a year.  I mean, come on, there is no coaches challanges?  Totally ridiculous.

PGR3 - Simply Awesome! The single player is extremely challenging for everyone depending on which level you play. Online is where its at. Loads of different race types. Graphics are stunning in HD.

Amped3 - Far Cry from the first two, closer to SSX series IMO.  Good game but not deserving of the amped name. Looks pretty good but over all the game needs more depth.

biggest dissapointment so far:
Perfect Dark Zero, not horrible but not that good, controls feel sluggish to me. and teh gfx are touch and go sometimes look amazing others not so...
