As of now you can't, I don't think that M$ is planning to change that either.  I believe that they cited security issues as their reasoning.

i dont think they will every give that ability to transfer files.  its no big deal really as if you really care about your files that much just keep your old xbox anyways.  for those of you who say you cant own both, that is BS because we have known about the 360 for over a year now giving anyone plenty of time to save.  as far as i know none of the next gen consoles will be able to use old storage devices so i dont know why everyone is hanging this issue over MS's head only.

the reason we are holding it over ms is because we already paid for it! They released a 220ish game list along with a couple of hard to find articles on the xbox.com site, and not anywhere does it say u will loose your save games!

Backwards compatability is a REQUIREMENT for todays consoles. Part of the fun is having your old games "upgraded" by the new system and freeing up valuable space in your entertainment center. even crappy ps2 can do this 4 petes sake!

Not being able to play a team you have played seasons with, or rpg charcters that u maxed out means that it is not compatable, after all without those elements its a drastically differnet game!

I can understand the security issue- especially considering the 007 and mech tricks m$ would be afraid of saves, but with 360s intergraded live service, shouldnt m$ figure out a way to transfer your saves through live?

anyhow saves are the least of my problems, since the games i want to play are on the list and dont even work!

Thanks M$, theres nothing i like more than paying more than i should for something i dont even get!

you could easily have the 007 or MA saves on a stock box... just never have used them... so transfering them on live wouldn't stop you from getting these files over...

but If I remember correctly 007, MA nor SC was in the original list... now I could be wrong... haven't looked at it in a while... someone correct me if I'm wrong... I'll have to look if I have time

BC is only a requirement by people like you, i could care less for the feature and if i cared that much for the last gen i would just keep my old console.  the ps2 didnt enhance the games in any way (maybe a filter effect) and it had familiar architecture to the ps1 (had parts from ps1 in ps2) so of course you can keep old saves.  i wonder how blind you are when there have been plenty of interviews with J Allard and Robbie Bach saying that you will not be able to transfer any files or saves from the xbox1 to the 360, also i dont think that ANY of the next gen systems will be compatible with the previous memory hardware so if you are going to bitch do it for all 3 next gen systems.  and you didnt pay for BC it was free!!  it was more then any of us expected and yet people like you still find a reason to bitch.  i buy my next gen games not thinking about the last gen and i think MS did it right, why take a chance in holding back any development of a next gen system or any of its potential power just to please people like you that will bitch anyways?  through this emulation method there is still a chance that you can have all the games to be BC in due time and have them enhanced beyond what any previous company has done before.  you paid for a next gen system, THAT is what you paid for, not BC.  MS cant please everyone, especially those who dont realize what they get when they got it
