well if it can set up my box so that it launches the xdk launcher, i.e. your installer sets it up with bfm bios etc then i would like to hav it for my collection. You never know how handy installers can be especially when your xbox gets screwed. so how you going to release this?

so how you going to release this?

If i do release it (if the demand is great enough) I will need to find hosting of course. Will probably send it to a few experienced testers before this (mostly for modchip/TSOP flashing). I know most of it works from my own testing but still have a few minor things left and might add/update things at the last minute. I've been a bit busy lately but will try to finish it soon.

the thing about installer disk is soon as u release them they get outdated . So say you use slayers disk and u install everything but then need to like unistall half the software cause most have been updated by now. Most modders i know just took the slayers disk took all the crap they didnt want in it out and put in files they want in each install on the disk(hence making there own slayer style disk cough cough its just evox functions anyways) . Sooo really only people that would find this usefull is noobs. Which takes away from there learning experince and later they screw something up lol.

maybe thats just me though

i fully respect your POV but like rab154 said, it can be quite useful to get you out of the ditch when you screw something up. I do agree that n00bs should do it "the old fashioned way" though since it avoids problems later on.

like it says in the first post, it was originally created just for me and some friends and then i thought "since lots of n00bs here on X-S get lots of probs related to outdated installers, why not get this one out?". i also find it quite useful when modding a new xbox; everything is located at the same place.

anyway, thanks for the input  biggrin.gif

This is would be an excelent utility.  I was wondering if you could release the same disk but with all the apps.  Those arnt really needed.  I like the dashboard choice and all but most people dont need and old version of XBMC and Bios checker.  Thats just my opinion though.

um...the disk is not 5-10MB...it's 160MB rared (425MB extracted)

I know. I was suggesting a lite disc with just the basics.

sad.gif .  Thats why i was asking if you could just post the disk without all the apps and then people could just install the apps later.
