Nba Live V. 2k6 Question
« on: November 21, 2005, 11:48:00 AM »

I don't care about gameplay or the modes being gone from nba live. I want to know from those of you who have actually played one of them, hopefully both...which game has better graphics. I have purchased nba 2k6, but didn't open it just yet. I know this sounds stupid, but I have plenty of games to keep me busy and I want the game that gives the wow factor while playing. Next year I'll probably lean toward gameplay and that stuff, but right now I just wanna know about graphics. I am only paying .29 cents for witchever game I keep do to reward points from best buy. All my friends on the basketball team are coming over tonight to play, and they don't think its going to look as good as I'm telling them. So for .29 cents I don't care about gameplay...just graphics! Please help me out...cause I don't have to much time until I have to go!

They both look great but if you have an HD display then nba2k6 looks better (AMAZING!) although the crowd doesnt look that good in HD but live looks beautiful overall.

I have a 55" sony hdtv...so NBA 2k6 looks the best? You kinda confusied me...I want to know In game playing. Once the game starts which looks better!?

After re-reading I think I understand you. You mean that the players look better on 2k6, but since they ported in everything else from the coaches to the statiums, it kind makes it not so great. But everything is from the ground up on live. So everything looks great, but the players aren't as good as on 2k6. So now I need to decided if I want an overall look of greatness, or that of just players. Did live's camera angels suck?

Got my 360, and am holding both games. I also rented nba live to give it a test. I didn't wanna open them yet until I found out which was better. I honestly can't take the gameplay of live. I know I said I wouldn't care...but its just to odd. I'm opening 2k6, and live is going back for something else. I honestly am a live fanboy...but its just hard to play. However it does look wonderful...all but the hands and arms are a little to long.

NBA 2k6 is much much much much much better. The replays are outstanding. The game play is great. And all the stuff about the coachs and cheerleaders looking like crap...not so true. I'd give live about a 6 outta 10. 2k6 a 9. NBA Live might look a tide bit shaper/brighter...but 2k6 is so good! Back to play.

I know I just keep saying basicly the same thing...but you'll be so happy with it. Its not as birght as live...but live was to much I think. The way they move seems perfect on 2k6. And once you dunk or get a replay, you might die. It looks so beautiful. But you have hdtv. I have a sony 55" and my grandma thought it was a real game going on. When my dad walk in the door he asked who was winning...then he looked again and he just said wow. Last thing that I hate about live was the camera angle. No matter what you seem so far away. And it always zooms in on the wrong things. I couldn't find anyother camera angles that worked nicely. NBA 2k6...I guess I'm a fanboy of a new sports game....
