Okay sorry guys for the thread startong babble, I was overly drunk SERIOUSLY overly drunk and I use a wireless keyboard which tends to tpe what it feels like anyway:
Yeah this system rocks PERIOD, Nice, Classy, powerful.
Fans do get loud at some points not too often though, not a big deal to be honest.
Sound quality for everything, games, movies, and games espcially is amazing, I have done professional home theater installation for years, I ran a high end home theater installations business called honest innovation/home theater installation (catchy huh) for about years untill I switched to acade games now, so I honestly know a good deal about sound, and can recognize quality and the little things that most dont . Its very nice no question. When hooked to a nice even mid-level home theater you can tell theat it has clarity and seperation that no other sysem can compare with.
The build of the system is really what impresses me the most it looks so clean and nice in your set up, does not look like a toy more of a iMac or Ipod, reviewers hit it dead on when they mentioned this. Trust me it looks so much nicer in your audio rig then in a kiosk anywhere.
As for gameplay, as stated above but maybe not so understandable, the games are like your best games on current systems only prettier and sound much more cinematic (movielike totally). They play nicely and are all fun.
The interface (dashboard) is clean, fast, and smooth, very easy to use and dones the job and then some. This thing is like a extremely high end mini-PC, anyone that complains either is lying or does not have any taste IMO. Its like a rolls-royce of game machines.
Honestly theres just too much to list about the media capabilities, basically if you know how to use your PC to its fullest media wise the 360 is an extension of that in high def on your tv. Its really overwhelming what its capable of t me.
System rating on a 10 point scale without question is 9.5/10
only flaws to me are
#1 it would be nice to have had wireless networking out of the box
#2 larger capacity hard drive out of the box
#3 hdmi video out of the box
#4 game included (in retail pack)like the good ole days of Mario, they really should have included Halo 2 IMO sure most have it but it has more than paid for itself already...
#5 allow you change the led color from the dashboard (blue,red,purple) would have been cool
#6 xbox 360 logo on hte side should have been cut out and had EL tape behind it to glow nicely (i am getting picky)
#7 Perfect dark should move faster, sure hats not what the developer wanted but, for gamers smootness and sped in a FPS show muscle in mt opinion.
#8 hmm not sure yet.
This system is a must buy no question
