what would it mattered if a game scored in the low 9's or the high 9's? a good score is a good score and in the end its nothing more then just another person's opinion. the only reason i read reviews are for the technical details of a finished product because half of the time that is fact. only the dreamcast has garnered such a big line up of quality titles and not all of them scored 9's but that is still considered THE best launch in console history. the way i see it, is that its still better then the gamecube, xbox, and ps2 (what a joke) launches and with every generation launch it makes it that much harder to top the previous ones which should say something for the 360 line-up.
