I agree.  All the launch titles look stupid to me.  I mean, MS launched the Xbox with Halo!!
I think they rushed the launch to much.  I know everyone is excited about it, but in there rush to launch it for the holidays, I think they dropped the ball on a lot of other things...like games...rushing the devs..etc.
I think a launch NEXT XMAS would have been better for everything...and Sony might have followed suit, instead of rushing also to compete with MS.  Plus they could have launched with Halo 3 and dominated the market.

Personally I am waiting for a new Ninja Gaiden.  Ninja Gaiden still looks better to me then most of the screens I have seen for 360 games.  I have seen Call of Duty 2 at Wally world, I think Ninja Gaiden looks the same if not better.

I guess for me there is no reason to pre-order OR "beat the rush" for a system with games that just don't interest me.  I didn't snag an xbox until summer of 2002, and actually it was Halo that turned me to xbox, if not for that game I might be posting on a PS3 forum about now smile.gif

that the launch titles are all retarded? PDZ is the only thing that looks remotly good.. and I really have my doubts.   Im not a sports game fan so all the sports titles do not appeal to me. I will be getting PDZ for my launch game.. but I am not real enthused about it.

Seriously, i dont consider launch titles like Codemned, Kameo and PGR (heck, i think the last one got 10/10 from 1up!) to be part of a weak or stupid launch lineup...

I like sports games as I like Soccer. I personally think the shoot evrything in site market is too heavily populated with games but that doesn't make the people that like to play them stupid.
I also like the old style platform games which seem to be a dying breed

everyone here is so quick to flame its sad sometimes.  everything is a matter of opinion here, but the overall general opinion about the launch is that it will be the best since the DC launch.  just because the system isnt launching with halo doesnt mean anything, if anything its better for the system and the games.  that way not one game overshadows the rest and all the publisher/developers get an equal share of the pie.  xbox launched with 3 good titles, ps2 with 2, and hell the gamecube only launched with 2 or 3 titles so how is this not a good launch.  every title exceeds the quality standards of a launch title, just because they arent considered the pinnacle of "next gen" doesnt make them bad games.  they didnt rush the dev kits out, they were delayed and thus created a rush for MS and the developers.  by launching now, MS is forcing sony's and nintendo's hand earlier then they wanted and that in the end will give MS more power.  especially in sony's case because they will have to speed up the launch of the ps3 so the 360 doesnt gain too much ground, which will either cause sony to launch with a high price and lose marketshare or launch with a low price and bleed money out of the ass.  every game coming out at launch could not be accomplished on a previous gen console, that alone is next gen enough for me.  give me a wide range of descent to quality games instead of a couple of great games at any launch.   tongue.gif

I personally like having both shoot em ups and sports games...its fun going from one to another because its different competition.but i also believe that you need to have a background with sports either you played when you were young or you understand the game.I think racing should appeal to everyone thats why im getting PGR3 but NFS seems fun just because you can customize your cars.

If you like all games either sports racing shooters ...you benefit big time.
