i hope this isnt true because its one of my most wanted unconfirmed games for the 360.  loved the first two and after the ending in part 2 it has been a long wait to see what happens next.  i dont get it the third game was said to conclude the series and include the rest of the 16 chapters, they have come this far in the game why not finish it?  the one thing i dont understand is what dev team owns the rights for shenmue?  AM2 made the first 2 but Suzuki left AM2 to make a new dev team, so is it still his call what happens with the game.  the kikizo article that was posted a few months back made it seem like Suzuki wasnt even directly involved with the game but only giving guidence.  hopefully we will have some final answers soon as i think this game has a huge fallowing and would do sega well by finishing the saga.

this has to be wrong, last i read a few months back that Shenmue 3 was in the works for the Xbox 1 and had was to be in the Shen 2 format and not the Movie format as originally rumoured.

MS would be stupid not to back Sega with some $$ for this as it would help LOADS with there Japan issues.

Maybe Shenmue online will be ported for Live!
