you have to remember alot of Rare's staff from the good 'ole' days of 1994-2000 have moved on to Other companies, alot of their creative talent was lost as a result, i had hoped Killer Instinct would be Reborn on the Xbox but i think there is no longer enough of the original staff left in Rare to actually make anything good come of it
That doesnt make them any less of a good company.....

I didn't know Rare was behind Battletoads
There are a few good games that alot of people didnt know rare was behind........they have a pretty consistent history when it comes to good games and theyre always the underdog IMO. Everytime they have a big project ppl ALWAYS doubt if they can pull it off and they do. Like our pessimistic friend, AnC.

Like most people here I like taking a trip back to the memory lane every now and then, but really, if was somehow thrown back to 1997 and was stuck with playing PS1 and N64 games again for numerous years before better systems came out, I'd beat the crap out of myself just for the sheer frustration
I agree with u a bit on that one. For example, I still dont think the snes mario kart is as good as they say it is......i think the n64 one was better. To me though, gaming like music. Not because it was released years ago when u liked music alot more doesnt mean its better than whats playing now.......its just different. People need to realise that like music games are like bookmarks to our memories and the reason why we hold these games in such high esteem is because they take us back to the wonderful experience that was. We wont ever get that experience back, no matter how much we replay the games.
with that being said, i think f zero has only gotten worse since the snes days
