ok i see ur point, but it was sonys choice to announce the ps3 THIS YEAR the only reason they did this was to try and upstage ms.i think congrats sould go to ms,ok so they have come out with the odd bit of pap,but at least from the day of their announcement until now weve been getting at least something to pass judgement on.exactly the opposite from sony the fact that it could be as much as a year away is not relevant, they should have said nothing at all if thats what they have got.

With that train of thought, we should all bash M$ for stating (one year ago might I add) the xbox 360 would have a HD-DVD drive and a standard HDD. Now its only a DVD drive and there is a system without a HDD. As you said, If thats all they had, they shouldnt have said anything at all. Get my drift yet?

Why doesn't anyone give sony shit about removing the HDD from their system? Strange how every sony fanboy forgets that.

Really, I remember us all giving them shit over the that here, except they never said it would be Standard like M$ did.

People love to hate MS, whenever there is a chance to put them down they will reardless of what they have done in the little amount of time in this gaming arena.

I hope you get used to the forums, because it is opposite to what you just said, its more like everyone loves to hate $ony for the dumbest reasons. Here is my favorite, "I hate $ony because I am a SEGA fanboy and $ony killed them" rolleyes.gif

Take any game that is on both PS2 and XBOX and compare them side by side and see who comes out on top 9 out of 10 times.

Well duh, the xbox is more powerful, tell us something that we don't know rolleyes.gif

well my issue with the lack of a HD in the ps3 and 360 is that people will act like not having a HD in 15% of the 360s will hold back the systems full potential where with none of the ps3 having a HD no one acts like it will be held back at all.

i do see that some people hate sony for killing off sega, but IMO it was sega that killed themselves.  and that is coming from a sega fanboy.  i hate sony for many many reasons and have disliked them long before sega went 3rd party.

no matter what happens during a console war words will be shot at the rivals, what words you choose to use and the kind of manner that you poke fun or pick the scabs of the competition is what makes the companies different.  for comparisons sake of the two companies, sony has been the child throwing mud just to cover up how far behind they really are

Now that there is a 4gig micro drive coming out from datel I can devote a 1gig stick just to emus, my other 2 1gigs to movies and the 4gig to my backed up iso's. Games load so much quicker that way and I dont have to cary around all them disks. I think this one thing sony actually got right, besides the small flaws like dead pixels and some dust under the screen on some psp's it is a great portable with plenty of homebrew apps. to really customize it. Put your own wallpapers, I heard you can change the startup sounds. Someone had a good idea to change it to the SEGA gen start up rotfl.gif The downgrader does work as I did 2 of them cause someone stole my bros and he lost about $200 worth of games and 3 1gig sticks with it. I definately would recommend it just for the taking an nes,snes,ms,gen,tg16,gb and hopefully soon a stable gba system all in one.

emus are gettting better as they keep updating them. I usually play at work so I plug the system in and set the clock speed to 333 like it should be. Most games run great. I finally got around to beating super Meroid on the SNES. Its nice to go back and play the classics every now and again. The system has the clock locked @ 222 to conserve battery power and most emus now let you adjust the speed but warn that they take no responsibility to what happens. I run every game At 333 speed to get a better framerate. I gotta say the first 4 months all I did was play emus cause the releases out at the time sucked. GTA comes out next week and Socom follows next month so its starting the get better but nothing comes close to plaing ninja spirits on the TG16 emu. Love that game.  ph34r.gif

smile.gif  I think that could be possible  sometime in the future. Emus definately played a huge part in me keeping the psp. there were maybe 3 great games at launch but I can only play so much of lumines before it gets old and Wipeout is great especially with all the dl packs. I think TGW06 is  really good but it killed my wrist playing it cause the damn boost button is the right shoulder and hitting it repeatedly to get power and put spin just took a toll after some time. GTA definately will sell systems, cant wait for next week to pick it up. For me I would definately get it again just for everything it does right, I just wish they would give more options for watching video. I mean who really dl's MP4 formatted videos? Who converts their wmv, avi, mpgs and qt to this format other that use on the PSP? Hope this helps.
