i have to ask though, how many console launches have been in?  as for only oblivion being next gen and rest not, thats your opinion when there are far more people who know the technicalities of what is going on the games behind the scenes who would want to prove you wrong.

4 posts and he's off,.... anyway for ozy that won't see or for anyone else that doesn't know,... PDZ was originally going to be on Game Cube then MS bought them,.. so it was gunna be an Xbox game,.. so while they were porting code or whatever they decided to push it off for the 360 release, so they ported again.  I don't think that the game engine ever had a 100% re-write for any of the platform changes it went through during developement.

adios ozy hope when you come back your ulcer free and finally have your mind made up about the 360.

as for PZO, let alone any launch game, being built from the ground up for the 360 i dont see how thats possible.  for a game to REALLY be built from the ground up for a system they would have to had the final dev kits from the beginning of the development of the game.  so IMO even the exclusive games coming out at launch that truethfully be said to be built from the ground up, as in a sense they all ports (either from past generation consoles or from an altered mac dev kit).  all this considered though is part of what excites me about the launch and the 360 itself, even those these games look incredible we know its NOTHING compared to whats to come in a year or so.  and it is then that i believe that we will see games that look and play beyond our imagination.

i think Allard is so funny.

Q: Are you going to have a PS3 with a machine-gun bullet through it?
* Allard: If they ever ship the thing, something might happen to one or two of 'em. Right now it's just shootin' at Web pages.

xbox has been taking shots from sony like crazy. what they say dont seem like they are trying to take hard shots at them. i think its more of joking around. so they are not just sitting back being shot at and doing nothing.

i think u have to take what both ms and sony say with a pinch of salt more so for sony tho.the point to make about the cgi is that yes ms has shown some cgi,but at least we have some idea of what the games a re gonna be like.sony has shown absolutely nothing in terms of game.1 up to ms at the mo biggrin.gif
