3 shenmues, 3 kick ass consoles. BAD ASS. I'll buy a 360 jsut for that shit.. Now if only I could get a new virtual on, a nights, new daytona usa, and some Fighting Vipers.

Great News!!!

I hope the update the game engine! its was great for its time but now its way out dated. It would be amazing to see what they can achieve with the power of the 360 (provided they use a new game engine)

I sitll own all the games you mentioned plus what I mentioned. and yes of course I had the 28.8 rockin bad ass netlink, AR, nights controller, ver1 and 2 saturn open top mod (for my backups ) sega rally, sim city 2000 (best one to date.. and it was on the saturn) Baku Baku 3 dirty dwarfs... etc etc... I love my saturns. I still have the original stickers that came with it when I bought it new.. 2 are on my tv and then I still ahve 1 or 2 on the original thing they came on.

if youre ever looking to sell one, and give a good price to a saturn lover, I may be interested.

I gave mine to my 2 younger cousins in '98 when I got my first PC. They still have it, and even though they have an xbox, they wont sell it back to me. bastards! lol

Im regretting unloading my DC as well

Xbox will be the first I actually keep.

this is good news indeed. im a huge fan and wanted to know what happens next sooooo bad after shenmue 2's cliffhanger ending. i was worried that it would go to ps3 and i wouldnt be able to finish it.

i dont see any reason why they would use the old engine?? they already have the story, art, direction, gameplay mechanics, and basically everything they need but the technology to apply it to. i think its a great idea to put all 3 together, i just hope they dont require you to play through the first through to get to part 3 of the game. although if it looks half as good as i think it will it may be worth playing through just to see the eye candy

I loved Shenmue on the DC

I never finished part II on the Xbox though, I was worried they weren't going to finish the series because part II didn't sell so hot.

That's the problem with a continual series... the best a sequel could possibly do is as good as it's predicessor... So the only people who bought Shenmue II were those that played beat and liked Shenume I, considering it was only ever released on the DC it's easy to understand why Shenmue II didn't do too well.

I think that's why it's a very wise decision for them to want to put all three parts of the game in a single release... it would greatly open up the potential market for the series.

that sucks that it didnt sell well, i actually thought i read it sold better in america then MS thought it would. i dont know how the sales were in europe or japan, was shenmue 2 even released on xbox in those regions??

and i also see your point twisted why not many people gave part 2 a try. i still remember like it was yesterday how long the wait seemed for shemnue 1. that game blew me away in many ways. i hope you find the time to finish part 2 now that we know part 3 is on the way, and sorry for giving aways something about the ending. i thought it was great how the game ended and at the same time it drove me nuts.

don't worry about the ending I've actually seen it... when Shenmue II came out for DC in Japan a friend of mine imported it.

My friends and I found a website that translated every scene from Japanese to english and we sat down and narrated as the game went through

It was kind of painful but it was cool. I only saw the parts that he was playing when I went over to his place but I saw the ending and later bought it for Xbox when it came out, just never got around to finishing it (too many new games to distract me). I'll probably play through all 3 from the beginning if it comes out in the next gen.

yeah it gets old, every class i have at my campus has atleast 2 other mikes.

and i would only buy a grillstation 3 to beat john with the boomerang controller. im sorry but i dont see any game pushing me to buy that system except all of the clancy games being exclusive on the system then maybe i would vomit up the $5000.00 for the grill and make me some cheeseburgers while im at it. and thats a BIG MAYBE, i would probably just stop gaming altogether.
