while I think its a good sign of things to come, I think it will have little effect on ps3 sales.
zombies run the world, and until that changes, sony consoles will sell like mad. they could lose all their big name games, and they pretty much already have, and it wont change the outcome. it makes me sick.

the only thing I can think of that would help to turn the tides is IF sony lost GTA altogether, and GTAs were for 360 only.
not only would that get a few million on board, but the news would spread like wildfire, friends tell friends and youve got millions more buzzing about it.
FF just isnt what it used to be from what I can tell. 4 or 5 years ago this would have been earth shattering news. Like you said, we kinda alread knew this and expected it.
