xbox's due to crappy dvd drives/hard drives/power cords?

Thompsons DVD Drives were fixed and replaced by MS for free , Power Cords are given free , hard drives are fixed and replace depending on your warranty.

QUOTE
Absolute bull. MS delivered TO THE LETTER? Whatever happened to downloading games through xblive as well as MMORPGs? Where are all the high def games? Where are the toy story graphics (yup, MS promised this too)?
The games all look like what they promised?! As examples, MS showed videos and pictures of Halo 2 and Fable that contained levels, graphics, and gameplay that were nowhere to be found in the final retail games.

They never said Downloading Games through live , they said Download Games Updates , like maps , weapons , fixes , ect.

But right now you can download XBox LIVE Arcade Games.

Do you have an XBox HD Adapter and a HDTV? if you do then insert a game and play Hi Def games.

They never said Toy Story graphics only SONY said that.

HALO 2 E3 DEMO was only that, a DEMO , an incomplete work that can change while it is being developed.

QUOTE
Neither Sony nor MS is my friend. They provide a product that I can purchase.

Sony has lied.
MS has lied just as much.

MICROS0FT is my friend , they have never lied to me , they always give me fixes for free for my WindowsXP OS and XBox LIVE experience. and soon Windows Vista OS.  love.gif

I agree with just about everything Twisted said.
One of the main reasons why I dislike SCEA is because of their false promises and their willingness to continue to lie to people.

Personally, Sony's products have gone down the drain.
It's not just me though, but many people have noticed the decline in their product quality across the board in their organization.
Their Playstation products have always been bad in terms of quality from day one.
And hearing Ken admit that there will be faulty PS3's pretty much did it for me.

And last but not least, I'm a Sega fan boy so it's pretty much f#%k Sony for life in my book....

Now, did my personal perception of Sony keep me from buying a PSX and a PS2?
Of coarse not. It's all about the games and I didn't want to be left out.
(AND THIS IS SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER HEAR FROM SONY FANBOYS REGARDING THE XBOX OR THE GAMECUBE)
I loved FF7 and Metal Gear for the PSX, and I loved Ico and God of War for the PS2. But I will say one thing, 2 games isn't gonna cut it for me this time around.
My PS2's been collecting dust for a long time and I don't want a $400-$500 dust collector sitting in my living room.
It's going to take a lot for me to buy a Playstation product this time around.
And total domination, in a form of a video game monopoly is the only chance Sony has this time around.
So it's pretty much bye bye Playstation for me and hello Xbox 360 and Nintendo Revolution!

OK, let me get this straight, so when Sony shows something that doesn't make it into the final game, they are called liars but when MS does this it is just a DEMO, an 'incomplete work'? Right...

there is a difference in showing an unfinished game and showing a PRE-RENDERED movie and avoiding the fact that its not real time.

i have been through 3 xboxs all because of the drives, but that doesnt bother me as MS LEARNS from their mistakes.  remember how many ps1's crapped out on people?? the same happened for ps2.  if your expecting different with the ps3 (with their faulty cell chips and early blue ray drives)  your smoking something brother.

unless its an overpriced TV everything from sony is crap, thats my 2 cents.

You act superior yet bring the same childish arguments. When will it get through your thick skulls that consoles die. Once again, $ony with four times the consoles sales has the most failure rate, or is it just failure numbers. I would bet money to say that for every four dead PS2's there is one dead xbox. Which would give them the exact same failure rate.

Yes M$ lied, but you guys will just ignore it, like your $ony Zombie counterparts.
So M$ lied about their first system, that should give you great trust. Come to think about it, M$ lies about every single product they make. How are they any different?

The SEGA argument is ignorant in my mind. SEGA killed themselves, but lets blaim $ony.  rolleyes.gif
Interesting sales figure facts as of 4/10/2001
$ony PSX = 72M
$ony PS2 = 12M
Dreamcast = 11M
Nintendo64 = 31M

Hold on SEGA was only one million units behind $ony and somehow it is $ony's fault they went down the drain. blink.gif Did you ever think that even the Nintendo fanboys contributed aswell? Maybe the GD-Rom with a whole GB of space? Even the GC discs hold more than that. What about the lackluster games. Stop kidding yourselves there were only a select few Dreamcast games that broke new grounds. Otherwise you were just playing a "prettier" altered clone of other games.

Maybe people followed $ony and Nintendo because in the 32/64-bit era they both broke new grounds with their games, while SEGA did next to nothing with the Saturn. SEGA had one main problem.........developer support. Even as the first 128-bit system, they had little developer support. I wonder why they had little developer support, perhaps their past failures played into that. ohmy.gif

SEGA is a software company now anyways. We still get to play their games. We just don't get to play their system. Many of us bought the NFL 2K series every year for our PS2 or Xbox. Was it any different than playing it on their system. Well yes, the PS2 and Xbox versions of were better.

listen def (wow, that doesnt make much sense...lol) you maybe right on somethings in that post (especially about blaming sony for sega's shortcomings) but no need to disrespect one of the best systems ever (not a sega fan by the way) especially if your gonna use ignorance as your basis. the dreamcast is the most diverse and fun system since the original nes, it had originality oozing out of its (which is expected if its made by sega) azz, they are so many gems on that system its ridiculous. They actually had pretty good developer support with the dreamcast (well maybe not ea and square) and there was nothing lackluster about the games at all. It had the most capcom (and best) games, great rpgs (grandia, skies of arcadia) originality (seganet, shenmue and most sega games) good fps's (unreal, quake) Phenomenol homebrew support (only bested by the xbox scene) puzzle (chu chu rocket) action adventure (head hunter, resident evil ; CV).............i could go on.

yes theyre were some pretty ports on the system but to fault the system for that its pretty low. What if i said the ps2 is just has low quality versions of xbox games!?

Play my dc to this day!

I would not argue as it is true. Any game this is on both is better on xbox except for one. Dont ask me why the PS2 verison of NCAA 2005 was better than the xbox one.

Did you notice your own ignorance throughout your post? Most games you mentioned were made by SEGA. Nothing is stopping more SEGA games...............as they are only a software company now and make games for all systems.  wink.gif

Resident Evil CV is not worthy of any praise unless you are an RE fan. Lets be real, the same shite controls as RE 1, 2, 3, CV, and 0. Oh yes how we all love those controls. Resident Evil 4 is the first to break that very original design. rolleyes.gif RE CV would have been great if the RE story was put together well, instead of just lets continue to make games in this series. Lets see how crazy we can make the story. The first RE was good because the story was no some far fetched extension. How about how the beta version showed character damage, that would have been original, but no we didnt get it.

Seriously name some gems from that system that are not SEGA games. You will find yourself with a very short list.

Quake and Unreal..........don't make me laugh...........console shooters suck unless you don't have a nice PC.

Let me list some of what I called gems on the Dreamcast.
ChuChu Rocket - SEGA
Crazy Taxi - SEGA
F355 Challenge - SEGA
NFL 2K series - SEGA
NBA 2K series - SEGA
Phantasy Star - SEGA
SEGA Rally - SEGA
SEGA GT - SEGA
Shenmue - SEGA
Sonic Adventure - SEGA
Soul Calibur - Namco
Virtua Tennis - SEGA

Do you see a trend yet? There is no reason for those games to still not be made, seeing as SEGA is a software company now.

Now how about the list of games that were on PSX and/or N64 and were just prettier rehases
Dave Mira Freestyle BMX - PSX
Dino Crisis - PSX
Fighting Force 2 - PSX
GTA 2 - PSX
Jeremy Mcgrath Supercross 2000 - PSX and N64
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - PSX
Marvel vs. Capcom - PSX
Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX - PSX
Nightmare Creature II - PSX
Rainbow Six - PSX and N64
Re-Volt - PSX and N64
Ready to Rumble Boxing 1&2 - PSX and N64
Resident Evil 2&3 - PSX and RE2 on N64 also
San Fransisco Rush 2049 - N64
Street Fighter Alpha 3 - PSX
Test Drive 6 - PSX
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1&2 - PSX and N64
Vigilante 8: Second Offense - PSX and N64
Virtua Cop 2 - Saturn WTF blink.gif
Worms Armageddon - PSX and N64

Anyone else see the problem yet?
QUOTE(miggidy)
Why don't you remove the mask and reveal your true Sony fanboy identity already?
So put the Sony pompoms down for now sleeping.gif

Great argument.  rolleyes.gif I am a $ony fanboy because I used facts. Seeing as I own every system for each generation, I don't understand how I am a fanboy. Yes I have a Genesis, Saturn and a dreamcast. Yes I have a PSX and PS2. Yes I have a NES, SNES, N64, and a GC. And last but not least, yes I have an xbox. Guess what else, I like them all.

yes but nothing in your post takes away from how great a system the dc was and how much respect it deserves. even though they were mostly ports ( it had alot of ports because they were hot at the time, n64 and ps were still doing well; similar to how many ps2 ports the xbox has) and original sega games...........it still prove they had great dev support, original and diverse line up of games. Most of the games sega did after the dc didnt even come close to their dc counterparts anyways. oh yea i forgot about the best version of soul calibur and the best version of doa 2 (ultimate doesnt cut it imo). Anyways all i ask is a little respect for dc. it still a great console and nothing can be said to take away from that.

i got all the systems except the turbo grafx 16 (thank god for emulation) and the only ones i really dislike is the gc (well kinda) ps2 (most definitely) 3d0 (omg!!).
dont own handhelds........waste of money imo........
