Trilogy was OK, the addition of brutalities was cool but the graphics on the home consoles always sucked compared to the arcade versions (the arcade was higher res and had higher res/higher color sprites. Oh yeah and no gameplay loading like with Shang Tsung's morphs) and trilogy was a console only release. It was just kind of a cheap idea too; they just threw all the levels and characters into one game, which might sound cool but it made for a very unbalanced game because newer characters were always faster and had more moves than the older characters. Besides there were only a small number of characters from the MK world that were missing from Ultimate MK3 (basically just Rayden, Johnny Cage, and Baraka)
Though I'd love to hack my arcade machine and create/add in updated versions of those characters.
