Its just that some people were saying that the harddrive would come with the more expensive version, which it won't.

Headset will be included as well.

there will not be a more expensive version at the onset.

robbie, J and peter have all confirmed that in interviews. the last thing needed for a launch is confusion over different versions.

one version to rule them all. the different one will come out when a HD format is picked, and we know the battle is still raging.

Im not too sure about the games acutally supporting the new Hd disc formats.

If I have a v.1 xbox 260 with a dvd-9 drive and all the new games being released are in hd-dvd format, I will be pissed.

Probably be both multi dvd and hddvd versions if that happens, or maybe a way to turn a v1 360 to a v2, usb2 addon? Could be expensive.

The reason for releasing the hd-dvd drive add on or upgrade or whatnot is because the games will be in hd-dvd format discs. If I have the normal version of the xbox360 with a dvd9 drive, I won't be able to play any new games from the point of the hd-dvd drive releasebecause all of the new games will be in hd-dvd format.

We will get the same reaction that people got when they couldn't play final fantasy on ps2 ithout the hdd drive for the ps2, except alot bigger.

I have pondered over this, and I do not believe any games will go onto hd-dvd, because there whole scheme is they dont want casual gamers to be left in the dust,( who wouldnt want to buy an addon just to play a game) and I believe it may come as an add-on but only for movies, and not be standard in any future consoles.
