Doomx Question
« on: April 04, 2004, 11:58:00 AM »

I'm a bit of a Doom nut, so I've got the full version of Doom, Doom 2, Ultimate Doom and Final Doom on my PC.

I went to the "usual places" and got DoomX with the shareware version of Doom. \

Is there any way I can alter this so I can play the full versions of any of these games on my PC? Or is this not possible?

Well, I went ahead and tested it with the fullversion WADs, and it worked.

I tried conducting a further test to see if it would work if I had two WADs in there, but unfortunately it didn't seem to.

Someone should give DoomX a game selection screen where you can pick which WAD you want to play from, so you can play Doom, Doom II, TNT and Plutonia all with the same app.

I did just the same thing like NRX72C.

Well, the savegames will be shared - that poses a bit of a problem, cause if you accidently load a D2 savegame in D1, it'll crash :/
