Quake2x Install Help

Did a search but no luck....

I downloaded quake 2x. Renamed default_retail.xbe to default.xbe an sent with baseq2 folder, audio, and the baseq2 file  all to a folder on my xbox I created in my e partion. When I try and run it, it hangs on the evolution x screen. Do I need to download an emulator or something?

Do you actually own quake 2 for the pc? cause i think you need it to play.

so how do I install this, even with the cd if I need it?

EDIT: I got quake 1 to work without a cd for quake 2 just doesnt work :uhh:
