i just got a 360 a few days ago and was dissapointed to see that i can't stream my dvd collection. Is there anything anyone has figured out to enable me to do so... and on another topic has anyone figured out how to play music while playing original xbox games because that to me seems to be a stupid thing i can't do.

thanks

If you have a DVD collection, just put the DVD in the drive and play it.  If you are talking about Divx or Xvid files, check out some of the transcoders.  I believe one is called transcode360.  There are others out there too.

To play music while playing an xbox 1 game, set up the playlist first in the dashboard, then start the music. Hit "Play Game" on the tray icon and it will start with your playlist in que.

1.  This wasn't asked.
2.  You can do this at any time during the game by accessing the left control panel and going to music.

I think he was referring to streaming his movies from his computer to xbox360. I am still using xbmc on the original xbox for that. Thats really the only reason Im keeping my xbox so if anyone knows how to do it with the 360 that would be awesome.

This software will transcode the video as needed. Works great for me. Mpeg2, h.264, dvix, and more!

I'm downloading this now to test it.

Will it play .bin files or .rar files? or do they need to be converted to avi to play?

man are we spoiled with  XBMC By far the best multimedia app bar none!
