Can you read Samsung BGA 4gb nand with homemade reader?

Ive got one in at the moment with the new bga on the board and im trying to use my home made reader as im waiting on new qsbs at the moment but im not having much joy..

I think the problem could be the read/write disable which should come off the crystal.
As the board is different im not 100% were it should be..

Ive hunted high and low and cant find no diagrams except for the older board version which went to the cap just under the nand.

Any help would be great..

Ahhh, figures!

We were researching some things and this post was opened on the private section. We just forgot moving it out of the private section. This post should not be in the private anymore...

Meanwhile, just ask me and I'll be posting infos here.

Good luck!

Just tried signing up for your site and still no joy...

I tried what you said and it shows the drive but 0 size and it will only read the first 576k sad.gif

Ile just have to wait for the TX reader adapter sad.gif

MicroShack, are you sure your reader is good?
Seems to me it isn't working properly... Check ur cable, then your solder. I have soldered the reader wrong myself and it gave a terrible headache until I figured I had ti soldered wrong...

The procedure I told you guys is right... Just solder the oscilator to any GND to alow read/write and bridge the resistors I mentioned. If you're positive sure ur reader is good, try a 120ohm in each of the resistors spot I mentioned and you should be good smile.gif

Good luck!
