Dvd-x In Progressive Scan?
« on: December 26, 2003, 08:39:00 PM »

How can I get this to work?  I recently had HDTV installed, and I only have 2 component inputs into my TV.  That means my DVD player, a nice one I may add....is temporarily disconnected.  So, I am using the Xbox to watch DVD's and CANNOT get it to output 480p.  I have tried booting to MXM dashboard, and to EVOX dashboard, and then running DVD-X ver2.0 from either and I still get 480i.  Can anyone help?  Is there a way to set DVD-X to output 480p?  Or is it entirely related to your dashboard?

THanks!

Thanks, I edited the DVD-x and that didn't work, then I patched the xboxdash.xbe, now my software hacked box gives me the error screen.   I think my friend replaced my original dashboard to something else, so the mechassault run linux hack doesn't work either now, I run linux and it locks up....

Anyway, I will call him tomorrow, as he has a mod chip box and we should be able to replace that file, as I did back it up.  Too bad I didn't do the evox redirect like you suggested lol.

I was too lazy to go to his house, so I replaced the xboxdash.xbe with Xlinux, and I am booting again.   So, still no luck changing that hex string in just default.xbe in the DVD-x....still 480i....any other suggestions?
