Well I did it. It works beautifully!!! I am not sure how to embed the video but I will just put a link of it here for everyone. This video shows me using the Xbox360 on Xbox Live then turning it off and switching to the Cygnos360v2 Rev E nand with the Reset Glitch Hack flashed to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UuSxpxwj80

BTW: this is on my Falcon

Here is a guide that I wrote up quickly on how I did it:

This Guide will help you with installing and flashing the Cygnos360v2 Rev E for the reset Glitch. This mod will allow you to use your 360 with Xbox Live and be able to switch over to homebrew as well all on the same console. All consoles are supported for this except Xenon release consoles.

You will need the Rev E version so you can dual boot. This will also work on the Slim as well. I will post a pic with the Alt solder points as well except that you will not be able to use the quick solder method on the Slim for the Rev E version of Cygnos360v2. You will need to wire it using wires to the alt solder points.

My first recommendation is that you install your Reset Glitch first. Here are some pics of mine installed:

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_20110926_1129301-1024x764.jpg)

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_20110926_1130432-1024x764.jpg)

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_20110926_1129231-1024x764.jpg)

That is my Glitch "CMOD" board that I installed first. I recommend installing it first to get this first part of the hack out of the way. It will be different for a lot of people except for the points on the board for the fat 360s and the Slims. If you need an easy way to program the board I found this tool below to be useful from Soulheaven:

http://fileserve.com/file/y4wd5G4

Now we get to installing the Cygnos360v2 Rev E Chip. I first put a dab of flux and solder on all the points I will be soldering (also known as tinning the points).

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_20110926_1148491-1024x764.jpg)

Get some flux and put a little on all the points you will be soldering to, after doing this place your Cygnos360v2 Rev E in place for the quick solder points and you dont have to use much solder since you tinned the solder points on the Cygnos360v2 Rev E (I used a 15 watt soldering iron). You do need to solder the "X0", "X4", "RB", "VCC" and "GND" points as shown in the pic below. The "X0 and "X4" points are new to my guide as it was recently brought to my attention that the southbridge was not resetting when switching between the 2 different nands. Thank you to "JeffJ" at the Cygnos360 forums that brought this to my attention and helped me to test what will need to be corrected for the southbridge to reset properly. For those that didnt know, if the southbridge doesnt reset when switching nands it is possible some data stored in a hacked smc may load with your Live enabled nand and cause problems and possible ban on Xbox Live. Other dual nand solutions would require you to unplug the Xbox360 when switching nands. You will also see that I am real big into hot glue to make sure no complications happen so you can see that I hot glued a little of the sides of the Cygnos360v2 Rev E to make sure it does not pull on any of the quick solder points.

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Untitled.jpg)

On the Trinity board (known as the Slim) you will need to do a wire install to these points on this picture below:

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Cygnos_Slim.jpg)
This pic came from http://www.cygnos360.com Thank you "warbeast" from xbox-scene foums for original diagram.
Trinity Board (Slim) Confirmed working by member "Zoneout" and :mufsta" on xbox-scene forums
I will post a pic of the alt points for X0 and X4 soon

If you have an old Cygnos360v1 it will also work on the Slim by installing it like below but remember you have to lift the "CE" leg (pin 9) on the original TSOP (nand) chip with installation. Also remember that the Cygnos360v1 does not have a programmer with it so you would still have to use a SPI Programmer or the Infectious to program your nands with this version. Diagram of installing Cygnos360v1 is below:

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/slimcygnos360v11.jpg)

here is a install done in a Slim by "mufsta" on the xbox-scene forums:
(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/mufsta_inst.jpg)

If you want the CMOD or Glitch Chip to turn off when the Cygnos360 turns off you can install a relay. I was speaking with a member named "mufsta" at xbox-scene that did this and it seems solid and the relay is available at Radio Shack here in the US. The thing I like about this relay install is that it turns off the Glitch Board when you turn off the Cygnos360 so you can keep the original nand stock! Thank you "mufsta" for this. Here is a diagram of the relay install that is confirmed working.

(IMG:http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/relay-cmod1.jpg)

Once these are soldered on you will need to connect the flat cable that has the switch and mini usb port. You will now need to get some electrical tape and tape off the Cygnos360v2 Rev E and make sure it is insulated from the metal cage when you put it back together.

Now you will need to get things ready for the Dual Nand setup and the Glitch. First connect your Micro USB cable to your PC and install the drivers located here at the cygnos360.com website. Now open "Cygnos360 V2 Toolbox 1.10 beta5" and make sure you have the switch off on the Cygnos360v2 Rev E and do a few of nand dumps to make sure you have a good copy of your original nand.

Now for this next part you will have to prepare a full nand image with the new Reset Glitch Hack already implemented into it because the Cygnos360 v2 Toolbox does not have this feature yet to flash the ecc file to the nand.

you will need to make your ecc Glitch Hack File first and this can be done using this:
http://fileserve.com/file/pJSn5RH

After you have made this file you will need to place Nandpro v2.0e and all the files created (in the ouput folder) from the Reset Hack Glitch package above in the same folder with your copy of your nand image (important because we will be writing direct to the image).

Now you will need to open command prompt and navigate to the folder will all these files and type the command "nandpro nand.bin: +w16 image_00000000.ecc", the "nand.bin" being the name of your nand file in this directory.

Once it is complete you will need to open "Cygnos360 V2 Toolbox 1.10 beta5" and make sure the Cygnos360v2 Rev E is on and the Blue light is on. Now program the nand image you just wrote the ecc file to the Cygnos360v2 Rev E nand.

At this point after the flash is complete you should be able to turn the the 360 back on with the switch off and it will have your normal startup of the Xbox360 unmodified dash. Then turn the 360 off and switch the Cygnos360v2 Rev E back on with the blue light lit and then turn the 360 back on. If the Glitch board is installed correctly and working then you should be greeted with the "Xell-Reloaded" screen within 2 minutes (mine never takes that long, usually within 5 seconds) and it will show you your CPU key and DVD Key. At this point put everything back together and make it pretty when you mount the switch.

Here is how I have my switch mounted in my fat 360 and what it looks like:
http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/...09261600351.jpg

And here is what it looks like on mustfas Xbox360 Slim when he mounted his switch:
http://unmrkd.net/heavenlymodz/wp-content/...fsta_switch.jpg

If you want to make sure you are always safe now from being banned you can change the KV on your Cygnos360v2 so that the console information is completely different to Microsoft and safe from your real KV being banned. Guide to do so is here: Create another Nand image with a different keyvault to prevent banning on Xbox Live

this is not a big deal since the cygnos gives you the advantage of dual nand (and the smc-injection if you want) and the console boots with the glitch installed. i use my falcon jtag like this but with transistors instead of cygnos smc.

get it working with slim and i´ll be impressed (i dont think its impossible, just find the same points at the trinity mobo).

it will work with the Trinity MB. Another user in the Cygnos360 forums connected his Cygnos360v2 to his Slim and was able to dump is nand. the points from the pic the other user here in the forums posted will work for the Trinity mb. I put that pic here in this guide. why dont you give it a shot if you have a Trinity board.

Im wondering how many components it would take to convert the cygnos into an all-in-one flasher/dual nand/RGH chip. I have some flex pcb to etch that could be quick soldered onto the cygnos board to save space, probably just need the xilinx XC2C64 chip and a 1v8 reg.Rest of the needed parts are probably on the cygnos already.

mostly becouse i dont want to pay for an expensive read/write-solution when i got my own homemade one that makes the job as good as cygnos. for dual-nand use i think i have seen more than one solution cheaper than cygnos smile.gif

yes there are cheaper diy dual nand solutions like using a xd card or biggy back a 2nd nand but these all need the CE pin lifted or a cut trace to southbridge to allow you to add a switch for dual nands

one of the selling points of cygnosv2 rev E is that it has its own way to switch between nands without messing with cuts to southbridge or lifting the ce pin! infact if cygnos v2 had a nand clip you could have a solderless dual nand and programer with just the glitcher needing to be installed

the other thing i like about cygnos and also progskeet for that matter is they are true nand programers not just usb2spi so these do not need the console to have a working spi...

nice idea somthing like this would sell well to the non skilled at soldering ..

For anyone trying this, I had problems wiring RB to alternate point, would freeze up Toolbox 1.10 when reading onboard nand or trying to write to Cygnos itself. I removed it and tried quick solder point (most boards you need to remove covering to get to pad) RB and it fixed the issues.

got this cygnos for free with a burnt trace, rerouted that with thin yellow wire and she worked perfect after the RB issue:

First of all thank you warbeast for posting the slim/trinity pinout (my slim is dual booting amazingly). I might post some pics once I get around to it.

I did have one question for Antman1. Did you add a relay or a switch to the POST_OUT1 / FT5R2 as they did in the logic sunrise pdf? Are you worried about the glitching being detected? I am just curious because I would like to keep my unbanned console unbanned biggrin.gif .

I would like to see some pics of your install as well and might even be interested in adding your pic to the guide if it is ok with you. Looking for a clean install on slim to post a pic for everyone.

As far as adding a switch or a relay I do not think it is needed. If you wanted to add a switch or a relay you can easily but I don't think it will be an issue. The xbox from the video is always playing on Xbox Live since I did this and nothing going on yet. I think the real bans will happen if people try to run unsigned code while connecting to Live. But as always we cannot tell what Microsoft will do but I don't think it will be an issue. I would create a image for your Cygnos that has a different KV different than the one you don't want banned. This image would come in handy if they come out with a hacked kernel able to play homebrew and such that way if you accidentally connect to live it wont see your good KV and will look like another console.

I am curious why if there is even a reason you put your stock nand in the cygnos? I know its simply piggy backing but always figured put the stock onboard and run homebrew from cygnos. Reason you went the other way?

I leave my stock nand on the original tsop on the main xbox360 mainboard. I flashed my hacked nand image to the cygnos360 with a new kv.
