I'm at a sad stand still...Will not get recognized through Labs. I got it Somewhat recognized with The Glitchip Prog. But it Can not identify it and says an error in ref to TDO Being stuck at 1. I'm Thinking maybe remake the jtag cable?

Im having the exact same problem..WTF?? And  im sure bmy cable is all good, checked and checked again.

Anyone know what the problem is here?

problem likely lies in the homebrew programmer they are making. its not going to work on everyones computer. best bet is to atleast get a proper buffered jtag programmer for xilinx. they are only $10-15 after all smile.gif

Also try the programmer with only the one 3k3 resistor on the vcc line. Thats the one i had to use and it worked perfectly for my homemade glitch board and matrix chip. The one with all the resistors and diodes wouldnt program either one.

edit: Here it is.(IMG:http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a28/XrachAelX7/spiffy_lpt.png)

It might. I built that same cable when the GliGli cable wouldn't work for me and it worked first try.

i know this sounds like a stupid question but. do i leave the 2 power connections that go from my dvd drive cable to the glitch chip soldered on after programming ( for ever) or do i unsolder them when iv programed my matrix glitch chip, and soldered the other connections on?

thanks  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

This is what it looks like finished:

I have images suitable for toner-transfer if anyone wants to build their own. There's less than $5 in parts in it, and I'll make a thru-hole pcb image if anyone wants (provided they ask nicely).

Remove the cables, they only have to be there for programming. Better still, attach them to your programming cable (if you don't need them elsewhere), 2 less connections to solder/unsolder.

For anyone having problems with the matrix glitcher, I just installed mine in my falcon.

Make sure you have a good ground and 3.3V. First I ignored this advice and put only one wire for each and it didnt work. It would just sit there... I could hear that it was reseting (the fan speed was changing).

Now I have two wires from J2B1,7 to VCC. For the GND I also have two wires, one from J2B1,12 and one from the metal fins of the video connector.

Now the glitch works perfectly everytime in under 5 seconds.

And for the programming I made the cable from gliglis schematic and I used "360gcProg v1.1" to flash the chip - worked like a charm.

I can post pics if it would help anyone...

The 36gcprog 1.1 gave me an error also...about not being supported, but just click ok and it will flash it.

The only problem can be with the cable (did you make it yourself?), or maybe you are not getting enough juice to the chip, check your 3.3V power source.
